Makarios on Sea

We were advised on our 2nd day that the condiments are not refilled per day - so that was a bit disappointing as we had to supply our own toilet paper and coffee sugar milk etc from the 2nd day - we stayed for 6 nights

We had a lovely stay even thought it was just one night. We will definitely be back but for longer next time

Our stay was as always excellent! The view is priceless! Everything was perfect and I would really recommend Makarios to anybody. Antoinette also allowed me to invite my children to join us for a braai. Thank you for your hospitality Antoinette!

We really had a wonderful time staying at your place. Just a few things needed to be done specially the toiletries (Soap, shampoo should be a better quality). Towel should be place on some higher rack. Because of insects and bugs. Please don't use my name and email address for this post.

We spent a few days in the Dolphin suite at this establishment. It was our 4th return and we really enjoyed it. The facilities were very clean, reception by Antoinette was excellent and very friendly. Everything work well (we did battle with the canister of the one plate gas stove during load shedding. Perhaps leave it in the stove). As there is a solar back up system in place lights, fridge etc all worked. Only stove and oven not on solar system. Enjoyed the outside sitting area to watch the sea and the sun setting over the bay. Will definitely return.

We stayed in the Seagull Suite for 5 nights and it was amazing !! As part of my husbands 60th Birthday present, we had spent 4 nights in Cape Town, 4 Nights at the Garden Route Game lodge(which was also amazing) and we decided for the last leg of our adventure we wanted to relax at the beach....we were not disappointed. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Antoinette the owner of the property, what an amazing lady she is, so welcoming and helpful, she quickly showed us around the apartment and let us check in early. The apartment is well appointed and has everything that you need and has wonderful views of the beautiful beach and the ocean from every room, everywhere was spotlessly clean, thanks to Cynthia. You could not be any closer to the beach if you tried, you step out of the apartment across a tiny access road and you are straight onto the pristine Blue Flag Beach. There is a tidal poll for those that are not to adventurous to play in the roaring surf, and there were lifeguards on had too. There were beach chairs, sun/beach umbrellas, bodyboards, bat and ball sets, and other beach toys in the garage that we were free to use while staying there Falling asleep to the roar of the ocean was beautiful and it was a perfect end to our South African Adventure.
