Stay in Ohiopyle Near the Gap Trail - Ohiopyle, PA

Top reasons not to stay at Stay . the Corbin room 1. Awfull beds..website says new, but they sink into box springs 2. No hot water in bathroom sink 3. No thermostat in room 4. The vent and trash can next to toilet needs replaced because of stains 5. Window has no blinds 6. No table or chairs in room 7. This unit has 2 other rooms attached, there are stairs going up to another unit that is noisy and at night a light come through because there is a windows on the inside wall. You have to see it to believe it. 8. Spiders in a corner 9. I had no cell phone or texting staying here because of my provider it was difficult to communicate with owner 10. I made a 3 day reservation first 5 minutes there I wanted to change it to 2 nights. I asked for a refund for the 3rd night. The owner said no. This was 48 hours notice.

Before I write my review, I’d like to preface with some info to clear up any confusion that others might have. “Stay In Ohiopyle” is a group of villas for rent. The website shows the various options available. They are operated by a woman named Andrea who is wonderful to work with. Based on what I’ve gathered from previous reviews, I believe she took over within the past couple of years. Any negative reviews from 2018, 2019 etc. are in reference to the previous owner who sounds difficult. We are from about six hours out of town, so had no idea what to expect in this little town of Ohiopyle. We visited the area to tour in Fallingwater. (sidenote, this is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting the Frank Loyd Wright site!) We weren’t sure what to expect when booking this villa, because we are used to big hotels with hundreds of people and lots of infrastructure. However, we had such a wonderful stay that we are now looking for reasons to come back. Every interaction I had with the owner, Andrea, was pleasant, professional and courteous. “The Joseph” villa feels like a cozy cabin with a fishing/camping theme. It was spotless, homey, clean and comfortable. All the linens were crisp and clean and we slept wonderfully. The surrounding area is natural and beautiful, and we were shocked at the number of cute, quaint coffee shops and cafés nearby. I absolutely recommend this place, and I am certain that any of the villas owned by Andrea and “Stay in Ohiopyle” will be wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay overnight in Ohiopyle. The house was perfect for our needs, and very convenient from the trail. The house was small, nice, clean, and had coffee which was much appreciated. There was a suggested bike storage rubbermaid "shed" for an extra $20, but I don't think our bikes would fit, and I don't think there should be an extra charge for that.
