Hotel Panorama

During my last stay in Heidelberg, I stayed at an American chain and was less than impressed. This time, I was coming for a medical appointment at ATOS and this place is literally next door. For the price, location, and the breakfast, I could almost give the Hotel Panorama a five. It was a tough call. Check in was very easy. I requested a parking space and the staff saved one right out front making this even easier. The room was quite large with a comfortable sitting area and a balcony. I had a balcony with a view of the Neckar River. The room was also very clean. The bar is very quaint. They sell beer and wine to take up to the room. I was very impressed with the breakfast buffet and made to order eggs. Even after checking out, they offered a coffee to go station. All in all, I was oleasantly surprised by how much I liked this place. I was a bit anxious about my medical appointment so the ease, comfort, and kindness of the staff made this a great trip. I will definitely come back here.

I can really recommend this Hotel. It is incredibly clean, beautifully designed and everything is fresh looking- perhaps from being pretty new. I stayed in a single room and it was cheaper to book direct with the hotel than to go through a third party web site. The hotel web site works well and seemed to offer more options. I really appreciated the marvellous view of the river from my room, the nice-sized desk, the balcony plus outdoor seat, the large wall-heater that you can control, the lack of any noisy air conditioning unit, the good lighting in the rooms (so many hotel rooms are just too dark for me) the excellent breakfast included in the cost, all the friendly and enthusiastic employees. There is no fridge in the room. I really like that i didnt hear any noise from other guests. There is some traffic noise during the day but that doesn't bother me. Only 20 -25 minutes walk from the Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof ... central? Railway Station. I guess you could catch a bus or taxi but i really enjoyed the walk via the very nice riverside foot path.

This is an excellent hotel on the edge of the old town. It is within easy walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, and the castle and gardens. The breakfast was a very nice spread and they will be happy to cook eggs to order if you ask. This was one of the best breakfast we encountered in Germany. The room was spacious and the bath was superb with a great shower.

A great 3 star hotel with a 5 star image. Outstanding location at river's edge and at a bridge to the other side of town. We had a spacious corner room that was truly panoramic with excellent soundproofing. Outstanding breakfast. Very friendly and helpful front desk, housekeeping and restaurant staff.

We spent seven nights here and it was absolutely delightful. Heidelberg is a perfect place to stay for a holiday. Clearly it is a beautiful and interesting place in its own right. But it is also a perfect place to visit other locations if, like us, you are travelling by train. Thus we went for day trips by train to Mainz, Speyer, Worms and Neckarsteinach. The hotel is well located, walkable from the old town and a swift tram/bus ride from the station. We chose a room looking out onto the Neckar river and realised immediately that the hotel definitely lives up to its name. The staff could not have been more helpful thoughtful. Breakfast was superb,
