top wie immer, sehr gut geführtes Hotel mit herausragendem Restaurant. das alte Wasserschloss ist ein Besuch wert, ich bin regelmäßig hier

Ottimo soggiorno in baron suite senza deposito cauzionale obbligatorio in altre strutture Van der Valk per la stessa tipologia di camera... Environment friendly la biancheria viene consegnata ogni giorno in apposito cestino incluso l'amenity set Il contenuto del frigo bar incluso nel prezzo viene rifornito ogni giorno

In my opinion one of the best hotels in the south of Holland. A castle in a really superb location, very friendly staff. We had a room with ample space, nice funiture, very big and clean bathroom with all the amenities. In the morning you can enjoy a rich breakfast in the chique restaurant in the mainbuilding. It is difficult to find any negative points, you only have to be rather fit, there are many stairs and no elevator.

We really enjoyed our stay here at the castle. The amenities were wonderful, the room was very comfortable, and all the facilities at this location were wonderful. We also enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee at the basement café. We did want to mention to the maintenance crew that the armoire in our room, where the robes were stored, had a very strong smell of spray paint. We would recommend that either the room be left open to fresh air with those doors of the armoire open. Or maybe to take the whole armoire outside and let it air out.

This is a very nice place and probably we would stay again. It is in a historic building and that comes with certain quirks. The biggest thing to know is it’s not for people who are physically limited. You don’t park near the entrance and there are no elevators to the room. Everything has steps and there is no assistance offered, so unless you get a ground floor room you are toting your bags up the narrow steps. We are fully able so it wasn’t a problem. The grounds are gorgeous and the staff generally very nice and helpful. It’s a bit odd though as it combines high luxury with low frills, such as no help with bags. They seemed a bit understaffed. The food is great but expensive if you dine in. Not unreasonable for the food but high for every day dining. Overall the stay was very good but a bit on the expensive side. One oddity was we wanted to stay an extra night ( we emailed a few weeks ahead and got no reply) and when we inquired as we checked in were told they had a room but they couldn’t book us at the front desk we had go online. We decided to move on.

Everything about my stay was amazing. The suite I stayed in was filled with fantastic authentic furniture, it was pristinely clean without being sterile. There was so much character and fantasy in the property, birds singing and water birds swimming around the moat, truly refreshing. I spent quite a while in the wine caves sipping rose champagne, and enjoyed a wonderful meal at the restaurant (cheese cart!). I’ve made amazing and enduring memories and would return in a heart beat. It was a once in a lifetime experience.

Castle and grounds beautiful. Very quiet for a good night’s sleep. Hotel good value for money, dinner expensive but interesting fine dining experience. Staff respectful. Breakfast very satisfactory. Close to both Aachen and Maastricht.
