Renovated to a high standard while retaining its old world charm, this delightful Inn enjoys a good position in a lovely village. Excellent food and a very comfortable bed after a busy day exploring the surrounding sights made for a great weekend. Very friendly staff who are also knowledgeable about the area was very useful, especially about bluetits. 😁 Thank you, I will be back.

Excellent food in a friendly environment. The food was exceptional, served beautifully and really tasty. The staff were so friendly and engaging. We were allowed to bring our dog to a small separate eating area which was great. It was the difference between having good quality freshly cooked food at a local family business or having to eat in a chain restaurant just down the road.

We had a great meal in this lovely family run pub. Solva is a beautiful village with some stunning walks and we stopped here for food. Menu has some great pub classics and ours tasted great. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the new owner Robin told us they also have rooms so we are planning another trip soon.

I had Sunday lunch here which was absolutely delicious. Meat was cooked to perfection and the cabbage was the best I’ve had in years! I would love to know their secret. Staff were very friendly. Thank you for making us so welcome

This was SUCH a good find and lovely place to stay. We felt we were treated extremely well and were warmly welcomed. They have a great attitude. Nothing too much trouble. We ate in the dining room and the meal was delicious, carefully considered and well presented . The sandwiches made for our walk the following day brought joy to a wet day!

Restaurant review only. I have been dining at this venue since 2005 and have seen several changes of owner. Having read some reviews lately , i had some reservations about its current state. I need not have worried ,a friend and i dined on Saturday 16th and enjoyed food and service as good as i can remember. Robin ,the current Manager has an excellent young team who really seemed to enjoy working there . As mentioned all 3 courses and the accompanying wines were superb and good value in my opinion. We were due to eat again today (Friday 22nd.) but unfortunately my travelling companion was taken ill and we had to return home. Upon leaving last Saturday i congratulated Robin ,and told him i was glad the Cambrian was in very safe hands , long may it coninue.

Such a disappointment in all respects We’ve had very good food previously but tonight was well below what we expected Giles Coren may well have been impressed but it failed us in all ways on the occasion of our wedding anniversary The sirloin steak was chewy, the chips were reheated and hard as a result The peppercorn sauce was cold with a film over the surface The coup de grace was when we found whitebait smeared with tartare sauce in the basket of chips When we asked the waitress how did this arise, the response was negative Sorry Giles, I do take note of your reviews, but this meal was well below a fast food outlet in a motorway service stop The chef should be ashamed of what came out of the kitchen Not to be repeated

Clean, updated, and somewhat spacious room. Nicer than most of the rooms on our coastal walk. Nice place to eat downstairs. We had tasty egg benedict for breakfast. Got a great night's sleep. Could have stayed longer.
