Hôtel-Restaurant de l'Embarcadère

Well, the hotel is fine and the rooms are really excellent and Nantua Lake is quite charming. the rooms are small-ish, but everything you need and clean. Breakfast is also ok - continental but lots of choices. Dinner is strange - the hotel chef offers a very high standard of cooking but the service is somehow a little lacking, like it wants to be 5-star but only reaches 3-star. Nevertheless, we found something to eat and everyone was friendly. What is missing is a 24-hour vending machine with hot/cold beverages that you can help yourself too. It is frustrating that there is a nice sitting area but you have to ask for help. A vending machine would solve that problem. all in all, we liked the hotel. We have now stayed there 4 times on our way between eastern Switzerland and the South of France.

We stayed here after our car broke down on the autoroute nearby. They could not have been more helpful and kind in contrast to our very famous English road side assistance insurance company which were an absolute nightmare and couldn’t have been more unhelpful if they’d tried. They kept our room available for us for as it turned out for four nights. Sandrine was so lovely and kind , an absolute asset to the hotel. Our room was clean and modern and the hotel is situated beside the lovely Lake Nantua, so we were stranded in a great location! The restaurant overlooks the lake and the staff and the food were superb. All the staff we encountered were lovely and we were so lucky to have found this hotel in our hour of need!

Bel hôtel moderne, propre et bien situé mais des prestations pas à la hauteur pour un hôtel de standing ! Dans la suite vue sur lac : radiateur sèche serviettes hs, pommeau de douchette hs, pas d'équipements de convivialité (pas de coffre-fort, pas de frigo, pas de cafetière ni bouilloire...) Au restaurant un menu étape abordable pour les clients de l'hôtel serait apprécié Le petit-déjeuner est correct mais pas extraordinaire Dommage il manque quelques améliorations pour que l'hôtel laisse un bon souvenir et donne envie d'y revenir.

Une nuit étape lors du retour des vacances. Chambre sur jardin agréable, salle de bain renovée, literie bien mais lit très court. Personnel aimable et serviable. Plats choisis OK malgré malentendu entre service et cuisine. ... entrée servie avant qu'on avait fini l'apéro et le plat principal arrivait avant qu'on avait terminé l'entrée. Bon hotel restaurant situé en bord du lac de Nantua, parking très pratique. Le petit déjeuner est correct.
