Stable Oak Cottages

Never normally take the time to review places but this place is absolutely beautiful. The hosts are so kind and couldn't be more down to earth. The cottage (Birch) was beautiful and a real little gem along with the amazing hot tub. It was clean, fresh and so cozy. The animals are just lovely too. Well worth the 2 hour drive each way and we will be back again! Thanks for the lovely night away.

Everything was so perfect for us. Nothing was to much for them. Very welcoming and friendly. Easy check in. Clean, comfortable, cosy. Everything you need is there. Breakfast hamper ingredients we're so tasty and the homemade brownies was a lovely treat. Thank you for making our stay special 🥰

From the moment we arrived we felt well looked after. Our host, Laurain, had baked bread, provided fresh eggs, butter and milk and lit the wood fired hot tub. The surroundings were beautiful, with alpacas, horses, geese, chickens, pigs and goats on our door step - we even got a meet and greet and got to feed them! We stayed in Oak Cottage which was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and immaculate. Robes and flip flops were provided as well as other essentials such as tea bags, coffee, herbs, spices, and toiletries. It was clear to see Laurain is conscious of her impact on the environment and toiletries were from a refill station, recycling encouraged and easily separated, and eco cleaning products available. We took a short walk through country lanes to Percival’s Rest for lunch which I also highly recommend. We stayed as a party of 4 and all agreed what a relaxing stay it was. Thank you - we look forward to returning

When we arrived we had lovely fresh cooked bread, eggs, milk, butter and blueberry muffins. We see laurain out feeding the animals from time to time an she checked we was all ok. The oak cottage we stayed in was nice an clean with a hot tub. We went for a nice walk a found stepping stones over a stream which was very nice. We also feed the larmas. Would stay again for a long weekend getaway.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in Birch Cottage overnight. Gorgeous, clean and warm cottage. The hot tub was an added bonus. Couldn’t believe the price we paid for all the amenities. Such good value for money. Our highlight was having all the animals in the fields next to the cottages, we wanted to take Ethel the goat home with us! Thank you Laurain for being such a fantastic hostess and for the little added extras… we loved the eggs and milk from the farm, homemade cakes, bread and butter! Will definitely be booking again in the near future!

Took my elderly parents for a 3 night break and stayed in oak cottage. It is perfect for a family break, laurain and mick make you feel so welcome as soon as you arrive nothing is too much trouble. Great to arrive to fresh home made bread and cakes, eggs from the chickens and milk and home made butter. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Outside is a private garden area with wood fired hot tub and views across the fields. The animals are great and we all enjoyed spending time with them. Great location too close to leeds castle and some great local walks. We will definitely be returning soon

We had a lovely stay at Birch Cottage. From the milk, bread, eggs and muffins on arrival to the lovely animals everything was perfect. The hot tub is very handy after a marathon walk at Leeds Castle which is a short drive away. The cottage had everything you need for a relaxing stay and the owners, Laurain and Mick could not have been more helpful.

Excellent in every respect. Beautifully and tastefully decorated. Everything to hand. Very relaxing and quiet. Super home made bread and banana cakes left by owner were a treat. A lovely place for a short break

Beautiful little get away! Attention to detail Is amazing! Wood fired hot tub, that was already pre lit. Beautiful countryside walks. Cottage had everything you would need, slept like a baby. Enjoyed seeing all the animals and also hand feeding an alpaca. Would highly recommend!
