"I've been planning a trip to Handan for five or six years, and it finally happened! I chose the Holiday Inn Express, which isn't in the city center, mainly because of the high-speed train schedule. Overall, my stay was quite good. Housekeeping was very attentive and generally met all my requests, and the front desk staff were always warm and smiling. The cleanliness and environment were impacted by nearby renovations and construction, leading to quite a bit of dust. Regarding facilities, the main issue was the air conditioning temperature control – it was so cold my shoulders hurt, reminding me of working in an InterContinental property office building where we'd have to call building maintenance to adjust the main unit every other day. Issues with the environment and hardware might not be easily solvable, but on my first day, I was very confused by the hotel's location map on the back of their brochure, which labeled an area as 'Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Aosu' (京港澳奥苏). It wasn't until I used a taxi app for navigation and saw 'Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway' (京港澳高速) that I understood. I hope the hotel can correct this kind of basic error promptly."

The overall location is good, the hotel is pleasant, and the three-story building is relatively quiet. Parking: Free parking is available within the courtyard, and there are spaces near each building. No license plate is required, and it's likely free for out-of-town vehicles. Facilities: Large rooms with high ceilings. Smart controls are very convenient. The suite has two bathrooms, with separate wet and dry areas and a smart toilet. The mattress is a comfortable firmness. The shower water isn't large enough, but the temperature is perfect. There's no refrigerator, but the rooms have plenty of water. The tea bar is a bit basic. The Wi-Fi signal in the rooms is spotty. Service: The overall service is excellent, and the staff are generally well-mannered. They provided fruit and snacks. Breakfast: On the first floor of Building 5, the food is plentiful and delicious. There's also a buffet in the evening. Overall, this is an established hotel, reportedly catering to foreign guests, but it's not very new."
