Kailani Suite at Hana Kai Resort

Wow..the views are amazing. I was in the lower building with unobstructed views of the. Water and a corner lanai that did not face any other bldg.. I had the windows open all night , listening to surf crash on the beach. I would go back in heartbeat. Room was incredible, staff was incredible..if I could give them 10 stars I would. Town does close early so either plan on cooking your own meal or but there was one restaurant open.. I did not go. Picked up groceries at the local store to cook breakfast..be prepared it’s pricey($10 for 5 English muffins, $10 for 12 eggs, etc. )

We rented the Oceanfront Studio Unit 2. It had a balcony with a full view of the ocean and great sunrises. It had a full kitchen and because we had been forewarned by the hotel we stopped at Whole Foods and purchased eggs, butter, and bread so we could make breakfast each morning. We did not want to pay $60 for breakfast for two people. The room came well stocked with salt and pepper, coffee and filters, as well as everything in the way of cooking utensils and pots and pans. We have a collapsible Mountainsmith portable cooler that we froze a couple of bottles of water from our hotel in Lahaina and were able to keep everything cold on the 2.5 hour drive to Hana. There is only one choice for breakfast in Hana and you will pay dearly for it. We loved our stay here. Be sure to heed the advice of the inn keeper on purchasing groceries as well as reservations at the state park.

Our stay was fantastic. We loved everything about the place. Beautiful decor, well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, and gorgeous view. We would love to stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hana Kaim Maui condos in Hana. Very peaceful setting with wonderful views of the ocean that really helped us enjoy the laid back vibes of Hana. Nice layout offered a bedroom, sitting area, spacious lanai with a clever pass through to the kitchen. Windows offered cooling cross breeze and enjoyed the ocean sounds during the evening. Peaceful grounds included a koi pond and easy access to the beach. Great property for staying in Hana with a view of the bay.

My husband and I just spent two nights at Hana Kai Maui. Because of a last minute decision by us, we had to switch the room the second day. No big deal! We initially stayed in Room 5 which is one of the finest facilities we have ever been in. Large two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The view of the black sand beach (easy walk to beach also) and surf out the massive windows is outstanding. The balcony out of the master bedroom with the king bed was unbelievable; we slept with the doors open with only the screen door shut. The sounds of the surf and waves was amazing. The den is spacious and very relaxing; full kitchen excellent. The next night we stayed in room which has the same basic view as Room 5, although the room 3 is smaller. It was also an excellent place to stay. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Friendly check in/out. This is a great base for exploring Hana and a great place to stay on any trip on the road to Hana.

Great location on a black sand beach, with view and easy walk to ocean. Overprice, but every lodging around Hana is overpriced, even for Hawaii. Large studio-style. Very quiet and peaceful place. We enjoyed our stay at the unit Beside the price, the only negative is that there is no AC, but breeze kept it comfortable.

Comfortable night in a clean, well-equipped room. Check-in and out processes were easy and friendly. We were provided with very helpful information about local amenities upon check-in. This is a perfect spot to spend the night when driving the Road to Hana.

Staying here was incredible! Just quiet, relaxing & cozy. Loved the view & proximity to the Road to Hana. No TV, just tradewinds & island vibes. Clean, comfortable with everything you need & nothing you don’t. Felt happier here than in the fancy resort we previously stayed in. Friendly check in/out.

My family spent one night in this hotel in April. We did the "road to Hana" during the day, and wanted to stay in Hana for one night before we headed back to Kaanapali. That was such a wonderful decision. The hotel was very neat and quiet. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The best of the best was the view on the balcony. Unlike Kaanapali where the beach was full of tourists and shops, the beach view from this hotel was tranquil, calm, and soothing. I regretted that we only stayed for one night. If I visit Maui again, I'll spend a few nights here.
