La spiaggia dell'hotel è troppo ondulata per nuotare e può solo crogiolarsi al sole. Ma non lontano, c'è un'altra spiaggia pubblica a più di 100 metri, dove è possibile fare il bagno. Ci sono molte scelte per colazione e cena a buffet e il gusto è buono. Certo, ci sono errori occasionali, come la spalla di manzo alla griglia troppo cruda. Ci sono poche cose per far divertire i bambini. C'è una sala giochi dove puoi disegnare, guardare la TV, giocare, ecc., Ma la manutenzione non è molto buona. Il servizio è generalmente buono, inaugurato. Tuttavia, ci sono più ingredienti per lo spettacolo e alcuni dettagli richiedono attenzione. Nel complesso, il rapporto prezzo / prestazioni è nella media e dovrebbe essere fatto.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in our travels. Luxury amenities, great views, comfy rooms and everything is thought of in advance when they built the hotel. Exceptional service & the warm welcome which makes you feel that you have been taken care of at the moment you arrive. Vishwa looked after us when we checked in along with everyone else. Exceptional staff that always serves with a smile. We would like to say a big thank you to Senaka and Kodi for their great hospitality, attention, kindness & care along with all other staff members at Bojunhala. We had dinner tonight at Gimanhala & again we were served with the same warmth, kindness, attention & care with big smiles on their faces by Shasini, Madu & Pasindu. These gems should be treasured. We will continue to update our stay at Shangri-la in Hambantota as we go along. Food was excellent too 😋 We were at the pool bar & Navindu served us with a big smile on his face along with all the other staff members of the pool bar. Navindu is very courteous, attentive, caring & helpful. Thank you. Well done & all the best!!

Hotel and staff are so very accommodating. We were upgraded to the tree house which was a fun experience, overlooking the river. Room and hotel is very clean. Bed very comfortable. Pool is lovely and towels available poolside. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely and less expensive than in town. The hotel helped book us a safari and provided a boxed breakfast. Breakfast in the hotel was also delicious and lots of effort was made to accommodate by food intolerance. Highly recommend!

L'hotel è molto carino ed è in posizione ottima per il safari al parco di Yala, la camera tripla che avevamo era molto comoda, ampia e pulita. L'aspetto migliore è però la gentilezza del proprietario e di tutto il personale che ci ha coccolati e ci ha permesso di assistere ad un matrimonio che si è tenuto in hotel durante la nostra permanenza. Anche la colazione e la cena sono state molto buone. Consigliatissimo!

L'hotel è situato in una grande posizione, vicino al Parco Yalla. La nostra camera ha una bella vista sul lago. Molte grazie al manager che ci ha aiutato a organizzare il nostro safari. Voglio sottolineare il comportamento strano delle signore alla reception. Non orientato al cliente.

This is a nice hotel, the rooms are very good, there is a lovely pool and the staff were lovely but for a 4* hotel we did feel let down on several occasions. We are reasonably seasoned travellers and know about the things that can happen in Sri Lanka which we are visiting for the third time. One of the main things that went wrong was the transport that the hotel arranged for us from Ella, I had clearly specified in writing that we wanted a vehicle big enough for 4 adults + 4 suitcases + 4 hang baggage when booking several months before. I followed this up, again in writing, a couple of days before our journey with the same information and was assured all was OK. The car that did turn up was way too small, resulting in a wasted journey for the poor guy that had driven for 2.5 hrs to get to us. The manager put the blame on another company for messing up but I think that he should have made sure that the vehicle we were getting was adequate. To his credit the situation was put right but this shouldn’t have happened in the first place. As I’ve said, the hotel itself is very nice indeed. The staff are really lovely but many didn’t speak any English so communication was very difficult when ordering, eg we just avoided having kottu (a Sri Lankan meal) bought to us when all we wanted was a coke. I can understand this is in a one or two star place but for somewhere that portends to be a cut above then I think that the customer can expect to be able to communicate. It was the same with most of the reception staff, some basic training would I think go a long way. Food was ok but I had to send a meal back because the fish I’d ordered was overcooked to the point that it was charred and brittle. The internet was lamentably slow and was frequently non existent. This should not be a problem even in Sri Lanka as we had good connections for the other 6 or so places we stayed of lesser rating. We only had hot water for 1 out of the three nights we stayed, when we mentioned it, it was fixed so probably just someone didn’t turn the water heaters on. Again, we’ve travelled around a bit and stayed in basic hotels and know that things may not materialise as you wish, but when one does decide to splurge a certain standard is expected. We were asked at checkout if our stay was up to standard and we told the person on reception about what had happened, he was obviously senior and spoke reasonable English. To his credit he was very apologetic and we were given some money off our food and drinks bill however we would have much preferred that the hotel lived up to its star rating. With a few tweaks this could be an excellent hotel, so up to the management really to do their bit!

Amazing location. In the middle of a forest and just beside the sea. Booked Jungle Chalet and the room was big and good. Found a spider in the room which was scary but I think OK for a place situated in the middle of jungle. Saw wild boars running around our room, crocodiles in the lake near hotel entrance and small animals and peacocks. Other than Yala Safari there is nothing much to do in the hotel other than swimming in the pool. Had full board and the dining experience was good. Bar service is also good.

Siamo arrivati in orario per l’aperitivo in spiaggia, ottimi cocktail in una cornice stupenda . Cena molto buona , persino lo strudel ( al rabarbaro , mela e gelato alla cannella) mi ha sorprendentemente soddisfatto. Alla 5,30 di mattina , siamo partiti per un entusiasmante Safari, tra orsi , elefanti, coccodrilli, bufali d’acqua ecc ( purtroppo non abbiamo visto il leopardo ma siamo stati ugualmente soddisfatti) Colazione e pranzo buonissimi Spa efficiente . Uno dei posti dove siamo stati in Srilanka. Complimenti a tutto lo staff
