The hotel location is at the right place just opposite the halebeedu temple. The staff is good, the ambience of the hotel is also nice they even have a small playground for kids.

KSTDC Hotel Mayura Shantala in Halebeedu is more of a guest house than a proper hotel. The location is undoubtedly its best feature—right near the temple, making sightseeing convenient. However, the experience beyond that was quite disappointing. The rooms had a persistent foul odor, making the stay uncomfortable. To make matters worse, I even found a leech in the bathroom, which was extremely off-putting. The AC in the room was non-functional, and with no intercom available, getting help was a challenge. The staff was friendly and tried their best to assist, but unfortunately, they seemed ill-equipped to handle basic service expectations. If you're looking for a stay purely for its proximity to the temple and don't mind basic accommodations with hygiene issues, this might work. Otherwise, I’d recommend looking for better alternatives nearby.

Rooms are dirty, not to be listed in this price category. Parking is also too congested. Room and bathroom condition needs to be improved

1. the hotel was not maintained properly. 2. hotel rooms were not maintained as per the rate. the blankets were not clean . bathroom were not well. 3. ⁠complementary breakfast provided is of bad quality.

We stayed with the whole family at the end of December at the Hotel Mayura Shanthala in Halebedu (Karnataka), directly opposite the historic temple complex. The Mayura Shanthala is a traditional hotel run by the Karnataka Tourist Organisation, which unfortunately goes hand in hand with a certain lack of service. The location is great, the restaurant so-so if you don't have high expectations. The prices are moderate. But beware, even a phone call won't help with problems. We couldn't book our planned 3 days and had to spend a day in Hassan.

The room wasn't ready for the stay, they don't have dedicated maintenance person to look into electrical and plumbing problems This property is walkable and opposite to hoysaleshawara temple, but i don't recommend this hotel, people can stay at belur or hassan instead. Food was ok.
