立地について、車で10分あれば萩の観光名所に行けて、宿に無料のレンタサイクルもあるのでとても便利。サービスについて、一般的な旅館のおもてなしをしていただき満足。乳児連れで行ったが、レストラン会場の床が畳だったので食事中畳に座らせられた。またミルク調乳用のお湯をお願いしたところ快く対応していただいた。夕食はとても量が多く、料理の質は大量調理の味だったがふぐ料理をたくさん堪能できた。特にフグ刺しが美味しかった。基本的には満足だがニ点問題点をあげるとすると、ドライヤーの威力がとても弱かったので髪の長い方は持参した方が良いかと。もう一点はレストラン会場に行く通路はバリアフリーではなく階段の昇り降りがある。

1月半ばの連休最後の日に泊まりました。お客さんが少なくて大きいお風呂も貸切状態でゆっくりさせてもらいました。建物も古く、古き良き昔の日本を思わせる感じです。まず入って天井が高いロビーに驚きました。館内の萩焼や骨董品、鎧の展示などもすばらしいと思います。食事は個室に用意されていて、夕食は地元のお魚料理を中心にとても満足いくものでした。サービスも丁寧でとても満足はホテル滞在でした。 目の前がビーチで朝のお散歩もすぐに行けます。夏はお客さんが多いのでしょうが、冬は寂しい感じとスタッフの方が言われていました。でも、ここは穴場だと思います！萩の町自体外国人観光客は少ないようで、なかなかここまで来られるお客さんはいないということでした。 萩城下町も近くてすぐに散歩に行けます。シーズンに訪れたら笠山の椿群生林もきれいでしょうね。今度は夏にまた来たいと思います。

団体客が多かった時代からあるホテルのようで、広い温泉は気持ちが良いです。ロビーには人間国宝が作った萩焼や大砲などの美術品が展示されているけど、せっかくのお宝を多くの人に見てもらうための工夫が無くもったいないのは残念です。大広間ではなく個室での夕食は気兼ねなく良かったけど、ホテルのWiFiはロビー付近だけしか届かず部屋では断続してしまうため、ロビーでずっとスマホを使っている人がいました。ホテル全体に階段が多いのは昔の構造上仕方がないのでしょうけど、スタンダード和室のトイレはビジネスホテル級の狭さで、大浴場のシャンプーは泡立ちが悪いのもマイナスポイントです。

電波悪いのに部屋にWi-Fiない。ロビーしかWi-Fi使えない。わざわざロビーまで行って使わないといけないのか？ 旅館の土産売り場でキーホルダー買って、すぐにつけようとした瞬間にぶっ壊れたのに交換もしてくれない。キーホルダーの意味がない。返金もしてくれない。そんな使えんもん売るなよ！ 部屋は小便臭いし、部屋のシャワーはとてもじゃないけど汚くて使えない。 置いてあるドライヤーはいつまで経っても乾かない。 今回はツアーだから仕方なくだけど、全くおすすめではない。
