Wonderful hotel with great staff speaking English and beautiful environment. It doesn’t have beach access, so there’re tuk tuks by the gate that can take you to your destination. Delicious breakfasts and nice views. You can also meet different animals on the territory of the hotel. I’m totally satisfied with my experience of staying here and can recommend this hotel to others 👍

挺驚喜的，彷彿隱入叢林的小酒店。登記入住有迎賓飲品，房間一進來就有撲面而來檸檬草的香味，洗浴用品也是檸檬草很喜歡，住在叢林中安靜的酒店，值得選擇，主要沒有任何異味，工作人員也很友好，笑臉相迎。陽台有曬衣服的架子，泳池很乾凈，晚上的月亮尤其美麗，傍晚能看到外面的野猴串來串去，千萬不要投喂哈野生的很野性。早餐半自助可以選一種，果盤和果汁新鮮，建議點這邊的特色美食椰子餅和咖喱雞肉，好吃😋，打車可以打突突，比較好上來酒店，畢竟在半山頂上。我很少評價酒店，除非真覺得不錯👍

Loved everything about this place. So clean, your room will smell like local cinnamon which they use to mop your room. The sheets and beds are the softest! The views are unbelievable! The food was incredible, both myself (and American) and my Sri Lankan family were impressed with it! Service was fast for anything you needed. We walked down a narrow road to the beach which was about 15 minutes one way, walk back up was a bit steep and you are perched high up on a hill for the awesome views! Will definitely be coming back!

We we for a short holiday in Tabula Rasa and our experience was fantastic. Location is unique and great for a private holiday. We felt at home. Special thanks to the Tabula Rasa team (Lakmal, Akila, Chef Mahesh, Tiran and all the rest of the team), they made our stay very special.

Our first time in Sri Lanka and the Tabula Rasa Resort was without doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed in! From our arrival to being collected by our lovely taxi driver to take us back to the airport, nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff at the Tabula Rasa ❤️. Always kind and friendly asking if we needed anything. From arranging taxis, tuk-tuk rides into Galle, recommending places to visits, a wonderful to trip to the national park to the most amazing breakfasts and evening meals. The food was wonderful and delicious! The staff were a credit to this amazing hotel. Our room was just incredible amd breathtaking views. My family had the best time ever! I highly recommend staying at this fabulous hotel ❤️🇱🇰🇱🇰

I had a really wonderful time at Tabula Rasa. The staff are so welcoming, they couldn’t do enough to ensure my stay was perfect, really nothing was too much trouble. The location is stunning, it is worth being up hill in the peace and quiet, and so easy to pop out in a tuk tuk to the beach or local towns. I’d often go to Galle in the evenings. The food was really good, I found myself craving the chef’s dhal. I was able to eat really good plant based meals without getting bored of the menu. The chef often came out to chat, and was very keen to ensure I enjoyed the food. I had a plunge pool room which was worth the extra. Relaxing out there, with an endless view of the jungle, the ocean in the distance, and monkeys leaping from the trees is pure heaven. The monkeys even enjoyed coconuts above my sun lounger one morning. I have no doubt I will return!

With only 24 rooms this is really a place you must visit. A steep drive brings you to the gate of this hotel, nestled in the jungle of Sri Lanka with a jaw dropping view at the infinity pool. We were upgraded from a Villa to a Pool Villa, thanks to our HH Gold status. Do reach out to the hotel to receive very good rates and deals! Our room was spacious and could sleep all of our 3 kids. The bathroom was modern and fully equipped with amenities. The master bed was foreseen of a mosquito net, aswell as a mosquite spray (keep windows closed, especially after rain to avoid them). The patio had 2 sunloungers, a table and a small plungepool. This was ideal to spot the monkey family in the trees, not far from the room. During our 2 nights we encountered heavy rain and thunder, but skies cleared up in the morning. Awakened by monkey's on the roof we headed out for breakfast, which was a la carte. Choices and portions were great and service was quick. Small note: paper napkins gives the hotel a cheap look, i would replace them with linnen, as they do for dinner. We used the main pool once as most of the day we were out exploring. Dinner is also available and nicely presented, altough staff should refrain to clear plates whenever others are still eating (etiquette). Overall, a good choice whenever you are close to Galle and the hotel and room has all you need.

On the first page of the Small Luxury Hotels of the world book, you’ll find Tabula Rasa…and rightfully so. This hidden gem is surrounded by a jungle with a view of not only the Indian Ocean but Koggala Lake also! We were greeted by the friendliest and smiliest of faces and this continued throughout our stay. The staff were attentive and all addressed us by name, flowers on what was ‘our table’ at breakfast and dinner, remembering what our preferred drinks were…it’s the smallest things that go a long way. Not to mention arranging for a TukTuk tour to a local temple and into Galle (which included some other local hidden spots!) it was an amazing way to see all we wanted in the limited time we had! We stayed in a standard room which was spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely view! We were even visited by the monkeys playing in the trees right outside the balcony! Just like the staff, the food also exceeded our already high expectations. From the breakfast to the dinner - it was all delicious! We were lucky enough for the chef to come and make sure everything was to our liking and even the owner stopped by and took the time to introduce herself and give a bit of history to this fantastic place! Would highly recommend to anyone! Thanks for a fantastic stay
