Moorea Island Beach Hotel

Very nice beach front location. However, the beach itself is not the best. There is a current right in front and lots of coral, so not easy to go for a swim. The hotel only offers breakfast, but it us close to restaurants and some small shops. The bungalows are a little tired and worn out, could use a bit of an upgrade. The lounge area is very welcoming and it's nice that you can use the kitchen.

My stay at the Mo’orea Island Beach Lodge was one of the highlights of my 2024 trip around the world. This beachfront boutique hotel has a great location near stores and restaurants. Better yet, some of the best snorkeling on the island is in their front yard. The owner Claude was very gracious and allowed me to check in early, hang around late, borrow a bike and kayak, and even rent a scooter. If I return, this is where I will stay (or at their sister hotel a few doors down).

We stayed in the beachfront lodge. This lodge was by far the highlight of our honeymoon. The staff (especially the hotel manager Claude) were so welcoming. The lodge was walking distance to a few shops and restaurants and also had kayaks to borrow which used to go down and snorkel. Our favourite part was the sunset which was just in front of the lodge. My husband and I would love to come back here!!

We had a great time here! Each room has AC, although it’s not turned on when you arrive. Really quick to cool though. Great location, lots of things to explore in the area. We rented a scooter from the hotel and drove around the island, which was the highlight of our trip. Visited multiple fruit stands and had the best meal of our trip at Snack Mahana. Don’t be afraid to check out the local grocery stores; they’re all decent, though they may appear daunting. We used the communal refrigerator but had our waters and beer stolen. Disappointing, but Claude was kind enough to replace our water. No big deal, but don’t leave anything critical in there. Snorkeling in front of the hotel was fantastic! Water is shallow almost all the way out. We didn’t have time to kayak over to the motu, but I guess that’s means we’ll have to visit again. Heard there’s even better 🤿 over there. WiFi was a little slow and doesn’t reach the rooms. We had Tahiti WiFi so predominantly used that. I would recommend this place to friends and family. Looking forward to coming back!

Place is really beautiful, breakfast is generous and tasty and staff is kind. Unfortunately, I'm more than sure that a few small items and coins disappeared from inside my luggage/from a shelf in the room while we were out for trips. Items were not precious, but still it somehow ruined our stay.

I don't believe there could be a more beautiful beach anywhere in the world! The grounds are gorgeous and the open lobby looks right out on the water. There is a shared kitchen as part of the lobby area and each room has their own refrigerator cubicle. There is also a mini fridge in the room. The kitchen is fully supplied so it is possible to prepare your own meals there if you wish. Coffee and tea are complimentary and available 24x7. You are in walking distance of a small shopping center and there is an excellent pizza restaurant two doors away. We had a car on Moorea so we could easily explore all around the island. The rooms are undergoing some renovations, so that will be a plus, as they need updating. But you are in the middle of a huge ocean and are probably there for the relaxation and beauty, which is abundant. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Moorea we would stay here again.
