Mary River Motor Inn

I really like this motel. The rooms are super large with king size beds. The beds are really comfortable, I always sleep well when I stay here. I think this is my fourth time here? Even though the motel is right on the highway, you cannot hear it. This is my place to stay while in Gympie. I'll be back.

Best hotel in the Area! Impeccable service and comfortable rooms. The meals here are generous and delicious. The owner always makes you feel welcome and ensures you have everything you need! Very clean and very well run. Complete with a swimming pool bar, & restaurant.

Stopped here for a quick overnight on our way to Airlie Beach. Very Adequate Motel. No frills in the room but spacious, clean and everything you need. Restaurant not open but room service available. Good meal and prompt service. We thought like others that given its proximity to the highway, the room would be noisy but it was soundproof. Dropped 1star due to only a continental breakfast for $20 each being all that was available next morning. Would certainly recommend this place for a stopover heading north or south.

Near the highway so easy to find. Was concerned that it would be noisy but as long as you kept the doors shut, there was no issue. Great place to stay, easy parking...we have a big car, a few stars up to room but only like 3 or 4. Good, clean room with a big bed and good bathroom. Just basic kitchen supplies, only kettle and 1 choice of tea or coffee. No other plates... Restaurant on site, with plenty of choices. Prices were ok, sometimes they can be very high but I would call theirs mid range. Air-conditioning but only small TV, desk and a few chairs.

Large rooms, clean and comfortable. The area was good. Walking distance from town (hilly - about 30 min stroll)… Close to the main road (as most of them are) but road noise wasn’t bad in our room. Totally recommend and yes we would stay there again.

Such an enjoyable place to stay! Really friendly people and great accommodation. Really nice rooms and just a joy to stay there! I have stayed there quite a number of times and each time I am very glad I did! Can not ask for better value IMO.

Very clean and comfortable Motel that is run by hard working owner. Nothing was too much trouble. Close to town and easy access to everything. Extremely quiet considering the Motel is on a major highway. Undercover parking which is always a bonus.

I have stayed here many times for work, but have never taken the time to write a review. Which means that I have never taken the time to give a great big shout out to Linda the receptionist. The cleaner. The “Jenny on the spot”. Is she gruff? Yes. Can she be short at times? Yes. Does she have a wicked sense of humour? Yes. Would she do whatever she possibly can to make your stay more enjoyable? Yes. Does she have a heart of good. 100 times YES. I have read some of the more recent reviews and while I can see why they might say what they’ve said I also think that that’s part of what makes my visits to Gympie so entertaining. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, great location blah blah. But Linda is the heart and soul. Keep doing you, Linda. Just make sure I keep getting that ground foot apartment. No stairs for this gammy kneed broad x 5 stars. Would recommend.

Quick check in, and nice clean room that was close to where I was working. Ample parking & while I could hear the traffic on the road, it wasn’t too bad. I ate out locally but would have room service next time for the convenience. Shops are nearby.
