”I recently stayed at Takayama Hotel Station and had a fantastic experience! The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way.
Pros:

9. Walking distance to halal hida beef, morning market
10. Convenient bus access downstairs to: Gattan go bicycle, Shirawago

minute walk from Takayama station on the way it is fully covered so there’s no worry during a snowstorm like when I was there. Service was also amazing staff met the guest with a smile and when I didn’t have an umbrella, I was offered umbrellas for loan straightaway for free. The hotel also has its own Onsen and it was very convenient to see it crowdedness through the TV in your own room. There’s also a rest area where you can enjoy the view of Takayama from the top of the building and a foot spa for those who can’t do the full body hot spring which is very good for people.

KkentangÈ a soli cinque-dieci minuti dalla stazione della città di Takayama, il che è molto comodo. Puoi andare al supermercato in circa 5-10 minuti. Degno di lode è lo stabilimento termale al nono piano (uno per uomini e uno per uomini). Le sorgenti termali si dividono in sorgenti termali, sorgenti termali fredde e sorgente termale semi-all'aperto. Fai un tuffo nelle sorgenti termali e allevia la fatica del lungo viaggio!

MMay Yee DorothyIt’s a pretty new hotel which is just a few minutes walk from JR station. The hotel onsen has indoor and outdoor pool. It’s about 15mins from hotel to Takayama old town. The only down side is that there is no parking for this hotel so for those that drive u have to park a distance away. The closest carpark is about 100m away but that carpark is expensive, if I’m not wrong u have to buy the ticket from the hotel reception and it’s yen2000 for 24hrs and it’s a one time entry. If u get the ticket direct from the carpark it’s yen3000. We park at another carpark that is slightly further away but it’s much cheaper at around yen500 from 1800-1000hrs, walking distance is around 4min from hotel

UUtente ospiteStayed there with as a family of 3. While I really wanted to like the ryokan due to the warm service and great feedback from friends, my own experience was a bit disappointing. We have stayed in many traditional ryokans prior to this and were familiar with the setup. We are appreciative with the warm service and sincere touches; like candies at check in, but the ryokan itself is really quite old and in need of a refresh.
Our room is tucked away in a corner and required us to go down a small flight of stairs to reach. I am not sure if the location meant that is a bit colder than the rest of the rooms but we really did feel cold and the heating was inadequate. The in built heater would also stop and beep in the middle of the night, which led 2 of us falling sick at the start of the trip. We requested for a additional small heater which helped a bit. Second night, our 9yo son also got many mysterious bites all over his leg. He claimed to have seen a bug crawl under the tatami mat but we were not certain and therefore did not feedback to the ryokan as we only had one more remaining night to go. We had only stayed 1 night in nagoya's marriott associa hotel prior to our ryokan visit, and his skin improved after we left Takayama, leading us to think that it might have been the stay there.

LLeon FokThe apartment is conveniently located near the train station, which provides easy access to public transportation. While the surrounding neighborhood is pleasantly quiet, it is still very convenient, with restaurants and other amenities within walking distance. The spacious balcony offers lovely views and is a wonderful feature, allowing you to enjoy the fresh air and scenery. Overall, this is an excellent value and I would highly recommend it based on the location, amenities, and beautiful balcony view.

Voglio in particolare lodare la signora del desk front that day, perché abbiamo perso qualcosa nell'hotel precedente la notte precedente, e il servizio telefonico dell'hotel poteva solo parlare giapponese, quindi non potevamo comunicare. La signora del desk front di questo hotel era molto paziente nel aiutarci. Ci ha preso molto tempo, ma era sempre molto entusiasta.
L'hotel offre anche fonti calde all'interno e all'aperto, e il ristorante dell'hotel serve anche buon cibo. Il colazione mattina è stato anche delizioso con molta varietà. Era una piacevole esperienza di soggiorno.

TTonyNStravelThe hotel is large and spacious, with three interconnected buildings featuring an onsen, or hot spring, on the sixth floor.
The breakfast room's capacity is somewhat limited; we were seated on the third floor, a ballroom repurposed for breakfast, while the typical restaurant is on the second floor. Although the food is the same, the third-floor location lacks the ambiance and view of the second floor. While I understand that the hotel has many guests during peak hours, allowing guests to choose their seating would be preferable. We are not in a rush and are willing to wait; Japanese guests tend to eat quickly anyway.
The room and hot spring were satisfactory, though unremarkable.
The hotel's location is not convenient to the train station. If you are traveling by train, this should be considered, even though a shuttle bus runs hourly.

BBeedawnI recently had the pleasure of staying at Tabino Hotel while exploring Shirakawago, and it was the perfect choice! The hotel is ideally located, making it easy to access the stunning village and its famous thatched-roof houses.
What truly impressed me were the many free amenities offered, from the on-site hot springs to complimentary snacks and beverages. The breakfast was a highlight—delicious and plentiful, with a great selection of both local and international dishes. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. If you’re visiting Shirakawago, I highly recommend Tabino Hotel for a comfortable and convenient stay!

UUtente anonimoThis hotel exceeded our expectation! It is very near the Nohi Bus station and the JR Takayama station (3-5 min walk). Although we just stayed overnight, we had a memorable experience in Takayama Ouan. The hotel has a lot of freebies for their guests. They have a booth in the lobby where guests can get free brewed coffee, hot tea, and green lemon iced tea. They also provide free socks since the hotel have tatami flooring. What we also loved about this hotel is the onsen (separate public onsen for male and female, and 3 private onsen). They also have a freezer where guests can get free iced cream after bathing. During past 9 pm, they also have free ramen for their guests. The room is spacious, and the view from our window is also nice (the roads and establishments covered with snow). Aside from the free stuff and great amenities, we also appreciate the kind and friendly staff members. We accidentally lost the luggage claim tag (and we are willing to pay for it) but they didn't charge us anything.
When we go back to Takayama, we will definitely stay here again.

DDuboisTristanQuesto posto era assolutamente fantastico! A lontano il nostro posto preferito da tutta la nostra gita. La posizione era assolutamente perfetta per il festival Takyama. Siamo stati letteralmente li', con negozi e venditori di strade a 50 metri di distanza, e le parate sarebbero state li' anche se non fossero cancellate a causa della pioggia. Le camere erano umili e tradizionali e si aggiungevano all'esperienza. Il tè nella stanza era eccezionalmente buono e il tradizionale colazione giapponese che servivano era anche delizioso e divertente da mangiare. Non sapevamo nemmeno che avessero una legittima primavera calda sul sito, ma lo hanno fatto! Sono bagni di stile giapponese, quindi siate pronti a farlo, ma l'acqua era terapeutica e così rilassante. Non posso raccomandare questo posto abbastanza e farei assolutamente un punto di visitare Takyama e rimanere qui per qualche giorno nel nostro prossimo viaggio in Giappone. Sono stati un ospedale così bello.E non posso credere il prezzo, che grande valore. Fatevi un favore e restate qui. Non sono sicuro perché le altre cattive recensioni sono qui, li ho letti e sembrano i turisti americani stupidi, quindi ignorateli e restate qui.
