Hotel in zona Picknickplatz Horstedt, Gyhum

We booked the 'activity special' getaway at this hotel. This included two nights, breakfast, one evening dinner, use of pool and sauna, the use of the bowling alley and a lunch bag on the first day for a hike. Lets start with the positive: The hotel is very clean. The breakfast was very good and there was lots to choose from. The coffee there was good also. It was nice having the option to use the pool and sauna. The rooms are very spacious and the quiet. Now the negative: Before booking this hotel, we had a nice phone call with someone to explain to them that we would need a room for someone with a wheelchair. He was very accommodating and booked three rooms for us, right beside each other, one of which was the handicapped friendly room. Upon arrival, they informed us that they would have to take out a baby bed of said room as it was accidentally booked for someone else. This didn't bother us too much as it got resolved very quickly, but it was a foreshadowing of their unorganisedness. Included in the 'active special' getaway was the use of the bowling alley. We were at the hotel from Saturday til Monday and were going to go bowling Sunday night. Sunday morning, we were going to book it for that evening and they told us it would be closed. This should have been communication upon arrival, or better yet, when booking this hotel. Don't sell a two day special, when one of the activities is not available as advertised one out of the two nights. On their homepage, it says that the pool will close at 10pm. Upon arrival, the owner informed us that it will be closing at 9:30pm that night already. Later that evening, we just got out of the sauna at 9:10pm and were going to enjoy the pool for the remaining 20 minutes when the owner showed up and said he was going to close it down already. He then let us swim a few more rounds, but still. Would it be so bad to come at 9:30pm to close it when you said you would and not at 9:15pm when people are still using it? The next evening, the lights in the pool were also already off at 7:30pm when the pool was supposed to be open until 8pm. Additionally, the 'hot tub' was hardly warm sadly. The evening we used the pool, a nice young lady lent us towels and bathing robes. We had to give a deposit and would get it back upon check out. Once checkout came around the corner, they forgot to give us the deposit of 30 euros back. We had to go back to reception and they fixed that problem but informed us that we were just getting back 15, as the other 15 was for cleaning of the robes. What a surprise that was to us. I informed them that no one had told us about this, otherwise we wouldn't have asked for them. The owner asked if I'm sure no one told us. I explained who was at the reception that night and that she failed to mention this. He then replied 'okay then, there are instructions about this fee listed (we never saw them) but since she did not tell you, we will give you the money back and will have her pay for it'.

Eravamo bloccati a Zeven per una riparazione auto e l'hotel Paulson era raccomandato. Da quando siamo arrivati fino al momento in cui siamo usciti, siamo stati trattati come famiglia e ci sentivamo estremamente comodi. Ho fortemente raccomandato di lasciare l'autostrada per una visita qui. Vale la pena di andare.

Ci avevamo prenotato per una festa di famiglia con cena. Belle aree che invitano a sedersi sul lago o a fare una passeggiata. Camere spaziose, cortina di doccia, incollato con un corpo (aperta), colazione ricco. Cina: servizio sforzato ma superfluo, cucina....falso (una porzione molto più costosa per due) cibo fornito nonostante la domanda precedente (e, naturalmente, anche fatturato il giorno successivo), Non è stato preparato o spezzato in modo particolarmente buono e se si chiede «come si deve essere il filetto bovino», allora si dovrebbe anche toglierlo come si desidera. Poiché molti cibi erano piuttosto media, ma non volevamo mettere a rischio il servizio, abbiamo mangiato. Il colazione era rimborsabile, ma non avendo ricevuto la fattura dalla direzione, abbiamo dovuto pagare il cibo più costoso, ma poi l'hanno fatto pubblicizzare. La risposta della direzione è stata una giustificazione - lo dico bene inesatto -. Peccato solo per la direzione che abbiamo potuto dimostrare con un timestamp di foto che non siamo arrivati 45 minuti in ritardo, come si è accusato, perché la foto è stata mangiata 30 minuti dopo la nostra prenotazione. Ma forse le ore sono diverse, e la sera, con testimoni, ci hanno confermato che non avevamo ordinato la porzione per due. In questo modo, la posizione non è più in questione per noi, anche se il cibo dovrebbe diventare meglio.

Purtroppo garni ma assolutamente 👍 Prima volta qui! Surprisingly friendly and totally nice! Questo non si sperimenta tutti i giorni. Ospiti molto cari che ricevono e presentano assolutamente amichevole. Camere sono top pulito e generoso. Il letto è molto fiore, ma tutto è molto bene. La colazione è il martello! Non molto, ma tutto lì, assistenza personale e davvero molto delizioso. Quindi qui si può davvero rilassarsi e dormire meraviglioso. Grazie per tornare 👍🤩

A nice hotel a bit further from the motorway than expected. It is a big place with good (free) parking possibilities. The room was ok size for a family of 4 with a sofa bed and a large bed. Not very modern but very clean and nice. A rather small breakfast was included in the price. Not the biggest variety for being a german hotel but fare enough to fill the stomache for a long drive. The staff was very friendly and helpful!
