Visited for lunch on 2nd January and had a disappointing experience. We called ahead to book and were told it wasn’t necessary as plenty of space but upon arrival, we were met with a frosty reception by the male manager. No warm welcome, no offer of a drink or a seat while we waited—just informed of a 30-minute wait and left standing at the door. We found our own table after standing looking silly for a while whilst he walked past us a few times. Service was lackluster throughout: cutlery missing when food arrived, no check-in to see if the meal was okay, and plates cleared without a word. The food itself was good, but the overall experience was let down by poor customer service. The male manager (wearing specs) could benefit from customer service training—a smile and a welcoming attitude would make all the difference. Sadly, we won’t be returning - as you can see, we don’t often award a low score.
