Holiday Inn GUIYANG AIRPORT by IHG

I was on a business trip to Guiyang at the last minute. Due to flight issues, I checked in near the airport on the same day. The room, well, is quite new and spacious. I originally intended to stay in the room at the back, but I arrived quite late and there were no suitable seats available. The check-in desk has arranged a garden view room from which you can see the local specialty, the sour beef hot pot. I thought there might be some sound, but actually it felt okay and wasn't affected much. After all, the hotel is right across from the airport, so I'm mentally prepared to stay here. However, one of the better things about the hotel is that breakfast is served quite early. For someone like me who catches an early flight, it's already great to have a hot meal. There was also glutinous rice in the breakfast. I tasted the rice that I hadn't had in the city before leaving. This time I came to Guiyang on a business trip and the schedule was quite tight. I didn't have time to visit the local area. If there's a chance, I'll consider coming here for a visit again.

This was not an ordinary hotel stay. It became something I will remember for the rest of my life. I arrived at the airport after unexpectedly injuring my ankle earlier that day and had no idea how serious it was or what to do next. I booked this hotel last minute, and from the moment I contacted them, everything changed. The team immediately arranged a car to pick me up from the airport, and I was met with such kindness, care, and professionalism that I felt safe right away. When I arrived, they provided a wheelchair for me and allowed me to keep it overnight. They thoughtfully placed me in a more accessible room, helped with my luggage, and continuously checked in to make sure I had everything I needed. This all happened late at night, yet the level of attention and warmth never wavered. What truly stood out was how every single staff member treated me. Each time I spoke with someone, they sincerely said to call if I needed anything, and they meant it. It felt like the entire team knew about my situation and was looking out for me. As a first-time traveler in China and an English speaker, I was honestly quite scared, but they went out of their way to make sure I never felt alone or overwhelmed. At one point, multiple staff members even came up to my room to check on me in person and ask if I needed anything. They made sure I ate and brought me a warm meal, and I can genuinely say those were the most comforting, soul-filling noodles I had during my trip. In the morning, they kindly offered me a late checkout until 2 p.m., again reminding me to reach out for anything at all. When it was time to leave, they made the process completely seamless. A member of the reception team personally escorted me by golf cart to the airport, helped communicate with airport staff, and ensured I received a wheelchair for my onward journey. I did not have to think or worry about a single step. This level of care goes far beyond standard hospitality. It reflects a truly exceptional team. Every person I encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in my wellbeing. I want to extend my deepest thanks to everyone working that day for taking such incredible care of me. You turned what could have been a very stressful and frightening experience into something warm, safe, and deeply human. This is a world-class team and a shining example of what hospitality should be. I am so grateful and will absolutely stay with this hotel again. Thank you for everything.

Wonderfully appointed hotel opposite the airport. Clean and beautiful. Attentive staff. Super comfortable and luxurious rooms.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Guiyang was excellent. The rooms were lovely, spotlessly clean, and furnished in a modern style that made for a very comfortable stay. What really stood out was the friendliness of the staff, who were helpful from check-in to check-out. The location is incredibly convenient, with easy access to the airport, railway station, and the subway, which made exploring the city a breeze. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Guiyang!

Excellent services provided by the young lady at the front desk. She went out of her way to help us order a new luggage when we needed help. We were very grateful of her kindness and also ensuring we had a pleasant stay. The breakfast was excellent, exceed my expectation with choices of both western and Chinese food. The hotel shuttle to the airport was very convenient. I would recommend this hotel.

Great location, nice new clean hotel, nice big room with big bathroom and shower. Breakfast was also great with a good selection of asian and Western food choices. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The free airport shuttle bus is convenient. Overall, a very pleasant experience, good value for money and highly recommend this hotel.

Overall a good hotel and close to the airport, you can walk across the street which is nice. The free coffee is decent as well

Both washrooms have back up drainage smells. Washroom exhausts inefficient. We stayed on 9th floor, too hot even with thermostats Off and windows opened. Not convenient with big luggages to the train station.

This hotel is the nearest airport hotel that I have ever stayed in China. The room is spick and span. The room alloted to me on the eighth level allows me to see the airport terminal, the observation decks, airport train station and flights taking off from the airport clearly. I take home the free razor and toothbrushes. Overall, I am very happy with my stay at this hotel but the hotel restaurant is closed at night and the receptionist is not around to take room orders. I ate durian bread at the hotel cafe near the concierge for lunch. I will stay here for sure again in October 2025.
