Gisborough Hall Hotel

The hotel has a beautiful location. The antique building has been kept in excellent condition. We chose to stay in the Feature Double Room-old Hall. The room was very spacious, with seating area. A coffee machine was also available. Cool drinks in the fridge. Breakfast was delicious, individually cooked, with a wide choice. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this hotel

I was visiting a good friend in the area and we decided to eat out at the hall as I’d heard some really good things about the food - it didn’t disappoint! Very generous portion sizes combined with amazing service from friendly staff made for a welcoming and pleasant evening of food, beverages and company. All the above, combined with a walk around and piano playing from Mr Gisborough himself just rounded off the evening wonderfully. Lovely and delicious is the best way to describe the evening, company/staff and food!

Omg the food is just amazing and the staff are brilliant, a special thankyou to zoe and ben for looking after us. The staff really do go above and beyond for there guests. The hotel itself is just beautiful apsolutely loved it will be returning

Another wondeful stay My friend and I, stayed at Gisborough Hall in need of a girlie retreat and wow, we were not disappointed! Karen greeted us at reception, check in was quick and easy. With all the information required. We arrived on a sunny afternoon, so we were able to sit out on the terrace, enjoy a few glasses of wine with the most amazing view. We dined in the De Brus. Which was very relaxing, with the ambience we were hoping for. Our meals were perfect. Clearly fresh and high quality ingredients were used, as the flavours were flawless. Sam looked after us that evening, working in a professional and attentive manner. Our room in the Woodlands wing was spotless, clean and modern. Everything you could hope for. Breakfast the next day was once again, faultless! Everything arrived as we ordered in good time. We were looked after by both Becca and Rhyanna that morning, who were super smiley and happy to help! All the staff we met, were friendly and helpful, taking the time to say hello.

We had a very small wedding at Gisborough Hall 4th October 2024, it was the most perfect day. The staff were all amazing, gorgeous food and excellent support with the planning leading up to the big day, highly recommended as a wedding venue 💒

This was our third visit to this hotel so we do like it. We came this time to celebrate my mum's 90th birthday. We felt this time though the service let it down. On arrival we'd booked a double room for myself and my husband and a twin accessible room for mum and my daughter. We'd ordered flowers in the room for mum however at check-in there was a bit of a delay as the flowers were in the wrong room. When we got to the rooms ours smelt very strongly of bleach and theirs had a double bed. They came and rectified this quickly but it shouldn't happen. We brought a balloon decoration with us for the table at evening dinner but when we arrived it wasn't there and we had to ask for it. Twice we had to ask for the canapés while waiting for dinner, our order was taken wrongly one night, mum and I ordered a glass of wine each while waiting which again never arrived and my husband saw them on the bar and ended up getting them for us, 2 of us were served desserts while the other 2 had to wait quite a while. Overall we found the service slow. As others have said the more experienced staff are very good but the younger ones not so. I have read other reviews where the manager has said this will be addressed and to visit again to see the improvements, well sadly obviously things have not improved. It's such a shame as everything else is great and if the service improved it would be top notch, as it should be. This really lets the hotel down and has put us off another visit.

Always good to return to this pleasurable hotel. The staff are outstanding in all departments and its like meeting old friends The dinner menus keep evolving and the food was exceptional (venison loin with venison pie simply amazing). The old hall rooms are Our favourite and for value for money you won't beat a 3 or 5 night staycation.

I really enjoyed my stay at Guisborough Hall Hotel. I was up there on a work trip to Middlesborough. I was planning to have dinner there the 1st night but would have been arriving just after the kitchen had closed. Karen was on reception and she was able to take my order in advance and put it in for me at last orders so I was able to have dinner as soon as I arrived. After driving for 5 hours that was very much appreciated! I arrived back late another night and Jodie was working in the Restuarant. Unfortunately I was too late for dinner and could only order a sandwich but she went out of her way to ensure I had some other snacks and bits to make a meal... again very appreciated. Guisborough Hall has a grand feel to it when you arrive and the room was a good size, with a big comfy bed. Breakfast was really good with plenty of options. Would happily stay there again. Just wish I had a bit more time to explore the local area as there seemed to be some really nice walks in the area. I played a few rounds of Golf nearby at the Wilton Golf Course. It's a welcome surprise compared to London prices! Thank you to all the staff at Guisborough Hall. I will be back!
