Didn't actually stay overnight, just visited to go swimming during the day. The beach has the finest white sand and is cleaned regularly. You don't need to walk half an hour to swim properly and the absence of tourist boats (like at panglao) makes you feel like you're relaxing alone in the world. It's one of the best feelings! There is a cliff at the side with lounge chairs to relax in while enjoying the breathtaking view. The infinity pool looks great, but didn't bother trying since they charge P100 extra for that. For a plus, they actually have a shower next to the bathrooms. The food is subpar, I have had better for the same price. They also charge P100/per person for entry which is not deductible from the bill.

The location is great: it has a house reef perfect for snorkeling. There are also pools, but the sea is so good, we did not use them much. The rooms are nice, spacious, clean. But the greatest asset is the staff: we had some issues and the staff, including the manager lady always came to our rescue, literally. Once one of our rented motorbikes broke down in a nearby village (we did not rent from the hotel as we needed big bikes), and the manager came to pick us up, got a repairman (it was on the 1st of January, a national holiday), and even arranged for a nearby restaurant to let us in to a private wedding party so that we can get some food (everything else was closed). When we had again issues with the bike, the staff was trying to get it started, while the manager negotiated with the rental place. When I stepped into a sea urchin, the staff got us the first aid kit and also vinegar to remove the sea urchin parts. When we were leaving and it as raining, the manager even lent me her raincoat. One advice: it is a bit isolated, so best is if you have your own transportation. We really recommend the East Coast White Sand Resort!

If you are a solo traveller, maybe this is not the best place for you. The rooms are OK- cold AC, spacious, good linens (although stained). Shower head is more of like a hose draining water on you in one heavy stream. Resort is currently upgrading the rooms by the cliff that appears to have been devastated by typhoon. No construction works but not good to look at. Pool tiles and grouting are greenish. Wooden deck by the pool is in bad shape- they closed a portion but I would not trust the open portion. Food is not spectacular. Utensils given to me were not washed, sticky rice is riddled with insects weevil, ordinary Filipino fare. Sounds during their bbq night-very tacky. Location is OK but not special. Small cove of white sand at an area good for swimming. First day and it is littered though I saw an elderly staff cleaning it in the morning. Trash brought in by tides accumulate in the afternoon. Also roads from the main high way to the resort is rough so do not spend the evening outside as it will be tricky getting back. Staff- very few try. Majority are snobbish and lack enthusiasm maybe because I am a solo traveller that was why they brush me aside quite often. Save for the elderly cleaners and one FO guy- all of them do not smile and lack the warmth of a hospitality worker. I saw two servers warmly engaging a couple while coldly dismissing me. During my whole stay, this was the consistent experience.
