Bring a flash light when walking around at night. Overall great experience. Close to wineries. Visit Korbel champagne because it on a few minutes down the street. Close to surrounding cities. I would bring a small cooler to keep snack because their fridge was small in our cabin, 181. Other wise my wife and enjoyed our stay

My daughters and I came to the area for hiking, biking, kayaking, and wine tasting. Dawn Ranch Is conveniently located for all of these activities, including offering the most amazing yoga experience and peaceful and beautiful grounds. The restaurant ambiance, service and food were the best we had in the area. Thank you for a wonderful place to enjoy our time together.

Our first time at Dawn Ranch and it was an absolutely wonderful stay. The property is beautiful and our cottage was beautifully appointed and it was so comfortable and welcoming I look forward to returning

We've visited here a few times and both times were great. The location is great - easily accessible to much of what the Russian River Valley and area offers. We really enjoyed just spending time in the pool with our daughter, as well as getting access to the kayaks and spending some time on the river. The rooms are great. Not large, but very nice. The food on site is wonderful, but you also have quick access to Guerneville downtown and even a walkable Safeway. The nightly s'mores, games (plastic ax throwing, jenga, checkers, etc), and even a guitar are nice little extra touches.

I went to Dawn Ranch for a midweek getaway and I loved my time there! The rooms are amazing and so peaceful. The dock on the river is so convenient for a float. I would love to go back when more things are open on a weekend to get a more authentic Guerneville experience.

We took a family trip here with our four year old son and had such a lovely stay. The hotel's amenities were amazing--river access complete with an outfitter, s'mores in the evening, delicious restaurant, a pool for the kids, etc. The cottage was beautiful but could use a little work with practical comforts (trashcans, shelving in bathroom and closets). If you stay in the Grove Cottages, you should be warned that it's located across a busy highway from the main part of the resort and requires a sketchy crossing. Hope they figure that out because otherwise it was such a great, relaxing stay.

Being pricey, you expect more. Service is poor. Room is not clean. No one greets you when you around.

We have stayed at Dawn Ranch four times, and have loved it each time. The Meadow Cottages are comfortable, the beds are excellent, the tea and coffee setup is very nice, and the views are gorgeous. The best feature, though, are the staff in every aspect. They go out of their way to be helpful and of service in any way they can. Vastly better than many similar accomodations.
