The accommodation STARFISH GUARDALAVACA is located next to the private and public sandy beach. You can find a range of shops and a supermarket directly on your doorstep. There is a 24h shuttle between the hotel and the airport 24h a day. The beach is patrolled by a lifeguard, pets are allowed. On the beach there is also a clubhouse. Here, there are sun loungers, cushions, sun umbrellas and beach towels available. At the beach there is a bar serving refreshing drinks. There is also a promenade here where you can go for a stroll. The seasonally air-conditioned, GPS-verified halal hotel is equipped with a 24h reception (check-in is possible around the clock), a lobby bar, Wi-Fi, internet access, a lift, a boutique, cash machine, a kiosk, a jacuzzi, showers and changing rooms, a first aid kit, parking spaces (limited) as well as a TV lounge with satellite TV. Sono stata in questo hotel,con Mio marito e MIA figlia, direi che il posto è vel situato anche pochissimo metri sulla spiaggia, peccato che abbia un servizio sul mangiare pessimo e pure le stanze,la maggior parte del personale molto gentili,ma veramente vi lo sconsiglio, stata una sperienza deludente, e indecente,ci anno dato una stanza qué nemmeno avevamo prenotato, condizioni pessime bagno sporco, senza acqua calda e a dirittura con delle asciugamani sporche, abbiamo fatto reclamo della situazione alla resection,y con una scusa un po' dispiaciuta ma consapevole, anno provveduto per un'altra stanza, abbiamo cercato nelle vicinanze camere libere,ma non c'erano, visto il periodo era tutto pieno e cosa assurda alcune di questi hotel non Sono permessi il bambini, anche se MIA figlia ha 10 anni. Niente bambini, peccato perché il hotel è posizionato in un bellissimo posto, e una vergogna di sicuro non ritorneremo su quel posto, colazione, pranzo e cena, sempre andavamo fuori , perché veramente mai visto una cosa vergognosa e indecente come Questa,lo sconsiglio completamente .

Non faccio fatica a credere che alcuni possano vivere una brutta esperienza viste le condizioni di approvvigionamento che ci sono ora a Cuba. Noi però abbiamo fatto une esperienza molto positiva. Aspetti negativi: soprattutto il cibo: le cose arrivano a ondate: per tre giorni niente pesce né papaya, né insalata poi riappaiono. Certe volte si va a tavola solo perché bisogna pure nutrirsi! Poi si impara a scegliere quello che tutto sommato non dispiace e qualcosa di gradevole si trova. I ristoranti alla carta alla fine danno le stesse cose del buffet ma con solo due opzioni, per cui abbiamo scelto di andare sempre al buffet in modo da poter almeno scegliere! Il mare è bello e davvero a 200-300 metri dalla riva si raggiunge a nuoto la barriera corallina lunga un paio di chilometri e questo è il vero motivo per cui abbiamo scelto Guardalavaca. Tanti pesci colorati: quattrocchi, sergente maggiore, razze colorate, enormi french grunt, spettacolari lion fish, barracuda e tanti altri pesci rossi, gialli e blu. La sera c'è sempre una animazione carina di circa 45 minuti. C'è anche una disco ma con aria condizionata a temperatura polare e con musica a tutto volume che è meglio chiamare rumore. Praticamente non ci va nessuno. Il villaggio è frequentato al 80% da canadesi con i quali non è immediato fare comunella, ma, se si ha iniziativa, alla fine si puo fare bisboccia. Il wifi funziona egregiamente quasi in tutto il villaggio. I teli da bagno sono gratuiti e possono essere cambiati tutti i giorni. Il personale è gentile, anche perché son molto gradite le mance, che sono un aiuto prezioso alla sopravvivenza. Molto canadesi ritornano nello stesso villaggio da 10 o 20 anni: vabbè che non sono abituati bene come noi in cucina, e che hanno un volo di 4 ore, però questo depone a favore del villaggio che riesce a fare del suo meglio, considerata la precaria situazione economica e sociale.

Siamo qua a causa di un guasto aereo. Hotel datato ma sarebbe il minimo. Frequentato da orde di cubani che per il personale vengono prima degli altri turisti. Code infinite per ottenere camere, Wi-Fi, per entrare al ristorante… cibo terribile! Mai vista una roba simile! Asciugamani in stanza praticamente stracciati! Altro che tre stelle! Una e pure cadente

La mia prima visita in questa struttura risale al 1992, da allora quando vado a Cuba ritorno sempre al Club Amigo di Guardalavaca. Dopo tre anni di assenza dovuta al Covid 19 ho avuto il piacere di ritornare en mi casa lejo de casa. Ho ritrovato tanti amici che conosco da anni: Cantineros, servicio, musicos, hobreros y sobretodos los amigo del Animacion. Todo perfecto Este Hotel siempre serà para mi el mejor Hotel de Guardalavaca porquè allì es una familia! Recomiendo a todos que prueben esta maravillosa experiencia! Un saludo a todas las personas que trabajan en este Hotel.

Non si può dare una recensione positiva. Tutto pessimo. Vai a pranzo o cena devi lasciare all'entrata la borsa perchè hanno paura che rubi il cibo. Come tovaglioli usano la carta igienica. L'acqua te la devi comprare anche se l'Hotel dice all inclusive. Da evitare assolutamente. Non fatevi ingannare dalle foto.

We love Club Amigo. We stayed in the hotel for the first time in the 22 years of going there. Normally we stayed in a Villa. We loved our room and how central everything is at the resort. The staff are amazing in every department. Public Relations go far above duty to make sure the guests are cared for. Thank you Barbara, Airel and Beatrice. Alex, director of Food and Drink always made sure we had what we needed, food for travel, water etc. Lenar, 2nd manager is always on deck making sure the guests are cared for. The servers and bar tenders treat you like family, warm, wonderful people. The El la Carte was always a good place to eat. Also, the staff supplied several private meals for the Tourists which was extra special. I would recommend Club Amigo Atlantico for your winter vacation.

As a retired couple from Southwestern Ontatio, Canada we've made Club Amigo,Guardalavaca our go to resort, visiting 2 to 3 times a year for 4 week stays under 4000. per stay. The staff are like our family welcoming us back like we had never left. The weather is always warm and sunny 90% of the time. Club Amigo beaches are a beautiful turquoise in color ,sand is soft and fine with minimal seaweed. The sunsets are the best we have seen! Ther is plenty to do-activities like games and competitions with prizes keep things fun and entertaining. The rooms are comfy and the food is delicious andsatisfies without ever causing us concern. We often go off resort walking or buggy ride to the local town for an inexpensive authentic Cuban dinner. Beautiful pools with swim up bars, 24 hour snack bar,a la carts, Ashley's Coffee Cafe, Jessica patio and many other niche places to relax and enjoy. Nightly entertainment and other entertainment throught resort. Weekly Special Canadian day celebrations, Cuban day with outdoor roast pig and Earth Day, planting trees. The gardeners take special pride making Club Amigo a beautiful Cuban experience. Staff go above and beyond to make your visit perfect. We always feel safe on resort or nearby. Club Amigo blends affordability, beauty, and heartfelt hospitality! We always look forward to returning to our Home away from Home!

Someone who has traveled Cuba extensively, I have to say that this particular hotel has left me returning for more. Why? Well, I will have to say the location which is close to the busiest and most exciting beach in the province of Holguin. The hotel itself is a 3 star, but the staff exceed this through exceptional service and always a desire to help with whatever they can. Definitely recommended, and I am sure I will be returning.

This was our 3rd visit to CA and our first post pandemic. Again the staff really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Marta was always precise and detail oriented in the care of our rooms. It was nice to see familiar faces and the waitstaff go above and beyond. A waitress found out is was our anniversary and even made a tiny bouquet of picked flowers We were disappointed to find this trip our favorite part of the resort, the small beach with the pirate ship bar is no longer accessible to CA guests, as it's now part of the Starfish resort next door. However, the Guardalavaca beach does not disappoint! We really enjoyed the mojitos made by Chicho Bluejays on the 4th floor and that spot is a hidden gem. Most likely we will return, if it wasn't for the amazing staff who really try to go above and beyond with limited supplies. Downsides were there was quite often not any toilet paper or soap in the public restrooms. The rooms while clean are VERY VERY VERY worn. We had 2 beds, one with a good mattress and one with an old mattress. The water system for drinking water/refilling bottles was absolutely vile. I didn't get sick but it tasted off. We did ask another guest and her consensus was the same. Also, there seemed to be a rum shortage as none available at all! However talking to other travelers on the shuttle to the airport their resorts all had ample rum. Cuba makes their own rum!!! There is even shelves of rum in their own gift shop. Anyway, all this made for an adventure.
