Hotel in zona Plage du Gros Pin, Grimaud

Garten & City is a great choice. The appartment was big, in good shape and quiet. The whole area is nicely done, the pool area is a big plus and easy going. The savoir-vivre of France is served here! Friendly staff, many parking lots, washing facilites, and the good location (10 min. to Grimaud, 25 min. to St. Tropez) is a further plus.

Che sorpresa trovare un hotel di buon valore così meraviglioso in una vicinanza così vicina a St Tropez. Sembra che sia stato recentemente rinnovato....ma tutto quello che so è che è favoloso con una capitale F!! La squadra che la guida non poteva essere più utile o amichevole, la posizione è stupenda, una grande piscina e la mia stanza era solo eccezionale! Era pulito con un grande condimento d'aria e un bagno molto funzionale... poi il colazione, sia dentro che fuori, era solo davvero buono...Sinceramente non posso lodare abbastanza...

Buongiorno, signor Bertolini È raro postare un parere su un istituto*****t prima di poter beneficiare di questo !!! Ho comprato una Wonderbox ”Ciao gourmand” a 250€ o non c'era menzione che fosse fuori luglio e in fine settimana ( a causa dei matrimoni nella vostra stanza*****t) Mi sono rifiutato tutti i venerdi' di settembre, Sono appena riuscito a riprendere il venerdì 13 ottobre ; e infine mi sorprende una disponibilità .....ma solo la stanza senza cibo perché il ristorante chiude alla fine di settembre ! Penso sinceramente che le Wonderbox non vi interessano e in questo caso dobbiamo dire e toglierci dalle casse regali; prima di cercare un altro stabilimento****t più comprensibile; perché ho davvero avuto un colpo di cuore per il vostro; vi sottometto a nuovo le mie date ogni venerdì camera più pasti!! Ci piaceva essere nel bellissimo hotel Le Verger Maelvi! La stanza era così affascinante, con il bellissimo balcone e una splendida vista. Eccezionale! Abbiamo anche amato il colazione molto, così tanta scelta e un servizio perfetto. È stato solo per 2 notti perché l'hotel è stato completamente prenotato, ma ci è stato goduto ogni minuto! Quindi non esitate a chiedere l'hotel più accogliente in una posizione perfetta per visitare Grimaud, Port Grimaud, St Tropez... I proprietari sono molto utili, si può chiedere qualsiasi cosa ( belle spiagge, buoni ristoranti,...). Sono anche molto gentili per nostro figlio. Ci manca già!

The best 3-star hotel you will find on the Cote d'Azur. We made it our home base for 7 days; spent a few nights elsewhere on our driving tour but Matisse was our favorite and most comfortable hotel. Very well thought out, clean, decorated with exhuberant Matisse themes, everything is done for the comfort of guests. A very quiet room overlooking the back terrace and pool, yet convenienty in the middle of town with restaurants, shops and the port/ Beach nearby. Staff always helpful and welcoming. A generous breakfast buffet. Parking garage across the street. One suggestion: add a grab bar to help older guests get out of the shower. We will return !

Abbiamo apprezzato il nostro soggiorno di tre notti in una stanza di terra con patio privato, molto spazioso e ben arredato con un bel bagno e un piccolo frigorifero. La piscina era bella, la piscina era molto fredda durante la nostra visita alla fine di settembre.. Il parcheggio Lices a St Tropez è situato a circa 7 minuti dal quale si può facilmente camminare al porto e a molti ristoranti. L'hotel ha una valutazione mista, quindi ci ha sorpreso piacevolmente di quanto sia attraente, comodo e conveniente. È stato anche abbastanza costoso in questa città molto costosa. Lo consigliamo molto.

I have known this little part of heaven on earth for over forty-five years. For me and my family its like coming home. I knew the origional owner who was head of the local resistance in the last world war. Squat tough and a terrific sence of humour. Taught me to play boule but only if there was a pastis at hand. I went early in the morning to market with him, a pastis with a coffee was de rigeur. I first went there to work and arrived at night it was very dark but a cold plate had been left in my room. Slept like a log to awake to flowers, sun and a delightful warm welcome. Breakfast on the terrace was fresh baguettes etc. home made jam and creamy butter. Delicious coffee. AND the food was beyond delicious. Breakfast is served now until 11.30 in your room or a quiet spot in the garden. The running of the Ferme has passed down the family and is now in the capable hands of Christophe who has inherited the special Ferme warmth not just from the sun but his greeting. The Ferme now has a swimming pool dug from Augustin's boule pitch. He would not have minded as the pool has a fabulous outdoor bar. The cocktails prime one for lunch or dinner. Non-fussy fo. od fresh and well, just perfect for me. I just love the way fresh fish is shown and then discussed how one would like it cooked. I could write a book about the Ferme but suffice to say that I went there three times the first year, before I was married the second time. I had my second honey moon at La Ferme! La Ferme is 150 m from Plage Tahiti who have a geat bar, have not tried the food because, well the Ferme's is only a little stroll away. By the way a thoughtful car is on hand to take one down to St Tropez, ten minutes drive For me and my family, who have all grown up, go there with my grand children. It is a bit special.

The best part of this hotel is its location. It’s away from the main hustle and bustle of the town, up a side street off the main road through Le Lavandou, but less than five minutes away from shops and restaurants and less than ten minutes from the beach. Overall however we were disappointed. Having had a motorcycle stolen when touring France almost my first priority when selecting a hotel now is some form of private parking. The Tripadvisor and *********** websites state there is “Free parking”. To me this means that the hotel has its own parking. It does not. There are five or six spaces on the very steep street with a ‘hotel parking’ sign on the wall. I stress that this inaccuracy is on the Tripadvisor and *********** websites, the hotel’s doesn’t mention parking at all. We were lucky that the space right outside the gate of the hotel was vacant when we arrived. Fortunately we did not intend to use the motorcycle while at Le Lavandou as the chances of that space, or indeed any space, being available when we got back would have been slim. To get into the hotel reception there are a six to eight stone steps from street level. Our room was on the first floor which could only be accessed up more stairs. There is no lift. To get to the “Exotic Garden” also requires walking down the stairs to street level and then another six to eight stairs to get to the garden. It you have any mobility problems this hotel is definitely not for you. We had booked a “Double King Size Room with courtyard view”. That turned out to be a view of a tree and the building next door. If we stretched out of the window a bit we could see the gas tank and a washing line (see photos). Not really much of a view at all. Having been there we should have booked a room with a terrace. All the photographs we could find on the websites showed that the rooms had shower cubicles or were in the bath with a screen. Ours was in the bath with a plastic shower curtain (see photo). It must be around 20 years since I last came across anything like that. Inevitably that meant that taking a shower meant constantly having to stop the shower curtain wrapping itself around you. We were provided with a small bottle of shower gel. When that had been used it was not replaced. There is a breakfast buffet but it is an odd arrangement. Very small quantities of everything are put out. Although that minimises waste it does mean you are constantly having to ask for items to be replenished. What was offered was very average. The fruit juice tased like it was the long-life stuff that comes in cartons. The cooked meats and cheese were only cheap cheese slices, thin chorizo and salami slices and small slices of “processed” ham. Breakfast was exactly the same every day. We would have been better off taking the short walk into the town and having breakfast at one of the cafes there. On the last day they ran out of croissants when there was still well over an hour of the scheduled breakfast time left. Appar
