The Lyndhurst Guest House

Stayed at lyndhurst. For two nights beings couldn’t get into place we booked must say. Great choice lovely room with sea view very clean and tidy bed comfortable gentleman who greeted us was very professional and helpful only couple small faults bit to hot in room and water pressure in shower not good even leaving it on a while but over all would recommend

Nice room The Lyndhurst was perfect for our stay as we just needed a room while visiting family. The location is perfect if you want to be super central and walking distance from the beach and attractions. The room itself was small but big enough to fit everything you need in it. Its was decorated nicely and comfortable.

Have stayed before and gave 5-star rating as the ensuite twin room was good with powerful shower. Booked a single this time with no ensuite. Unfortunately the small room's radiator was stuck on high and the room was like a sauna despite opening the big french windows onto a balcony. The communal bathroom was small and the shower was not the best.

It’s ok, we paid over £100 a night (this seems to be higher than what most people have paid but could have been due to staying over the August bank holiday) and was not worth the money. It looks fairly nice on the outside but inside stank of stale cigarette, including all of the stairways. The room was quite spacious and had a mini fridge freezer which was useful. The room was well decorated (although, it was missing hooks to tie curtains etc) but was quite dirty and the towels looked to be from the 80s, threadbare and had holes in them. The bed was ok, spring matress with a foam topper and the pillows are very hard and uncomfortable and the bedding had tearing on the covers. If I had spent the average of around £50 a night I would have said “you get what you pay for” but at £100 a night it really was a disappointing stay. Plus notes, great location and very secure.

Little gem in perfect location Having spent 30 years making trips to Great Yarmouth, I must have stayed 100 times and this was up there in the top ten guest house venues. Room spotless and well appointed - strong newish power shower, tea and coffee and very comfortable bed. Not a place to stay if you want bar and lounge as reception room is spartan and used by the host. The pub on the prom is next door to take care of that side but any noise did not carry to the rooms. Not 100 yds to pier, beach and roads.

The single room room 1. Was a good size with sink and balcony door open to key breeze through. .the staff were great and very attentive. They gave me a fridge as i was there 1 week.. I appreciated that. I WOULD Definitely use lyndhurst again
