The Dolphin Hotel

Awful room, definitely not what I paid for, was definitely not deluxe, bed was awful, felt the springs, absolutely disgusting

Amazing rooms.. me and my partner were fortunate to get the room with a jacuzzi bath which made the weekend we stayed super romantic. Close to seafront which was great for evening strolls.

When we arrived at hotel there were police outside hotel the staff didn't understand stand what we we saying just gave us a a key to food that's it when we entered room the carpet had a big stain on it sockets were not good couldn't eat there also sink had no plug in it mirror was broken and dirty there was no bar or breakfast area it damp and cold there were homeless people coming out of hotel bar door was broken

Radiator not working so room was cold, tap on bath rattling and water spurting out took ages to fill bath. Shared room with a dozen ladybirds..canteen downstairs never open. Unlocked and unsafe left luggage hall.i came fownstairs a few times about radiator in the night and noonf on reception rang number on desk but it wasnt regonised. Reception not manned at all times.. the room was big and lovely and location good.

Staff are very friendly, the room was clean and perfect place to set up base in Great Yarmouth. Had a deluxe room with king size bed which was extremely comfortable, bath had jets in it so was lovely to come back and relax in that, (bathroom was huge, could do with a freshen up and leaky pipe behind toilet that had a towel over it need sorting) Overall had a lovely stay here and would stay again

We stayed for the weekend and overall the hotel is good. You get what you pay for. The room was nice and the bed was really comfy. To me what put it down was the lack of parking (no carpark just street parking which is a nightmare right on the seafront) and the hostel vibe me and my partner got (lots of noise and banging and interesting looking people coming in and out the hotel.) On the last night of our stay we decided to eat in the restaurant downstairs. Although the restaurant needs upgrading, the food was actually really nice (I had the lamb shank and my partner the spagbol) and the food was nicely priced, but the walls do need to be checked before opening to the guests as I had a bogey staring right at me which was slightly unpleasant when trying to enjoy my food. The staff were really nice and helpful, brought up anything we asked for. My partner and I would happily stay here again but if we’re being totally honest we wouldn’t stay here with the children, primarily because of the sort of people that are staying in the neighbouring rooms. We did have a really nice stay here though.
