Timble Inn

Walked miles to get here after first checking the opening hours on line, only to find a small notice on the door to say closed for private function. They obviously don't care about the customer experience. We will make sure we bypass the place in future.

Had lovely food in the past but today the Steak and Ale pie was full of grisly meat. Not nice at all, especially at the cost of £19.50. Pointed it out to one of the staff who took it away and offered to replace it but I didn't really fancy anything else after the grisly meat. When the bill came, the cost of the pie had been taken off - well I hadn't really eaten any - and there was a free coffee. Given the fact I hadn't been able to eat the pie and our lunch out had lost it's sheen, a free coffee for my husband was not much of a sorry. After some haggling, which was unacceptable given the circumstances , I had some of the cost of the wine taken off the bill. Not a good experience and such a shame . Evie and Sarah were great but seemed to have their hands tied when it came to giving some recognition for a spoiled lunch. Altogether very disappointing. Recommdation is don't have the Steak and Ale pie.

The bed was plush, and I had one of the best nights of sleep in a long time. The location was peaceful and picturesque, making it the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway. Whether you’re looking for a quiet escape or a romantic stay, Timble Inn is a fantastic choice. I will definitely be returning!

What a lovely place to stay. I liked the room and the location. Staff were all so friendly and welcoming. I will be coming back here next year for my conference and invite others to share in the environment. I’m sure you would enjoy the experience too.

This a wounderful location in a good place in the countryside. It has very great catering service with good choice of food and friendly welcoming staff. Very clean and excellent rooms and variety of rooms. This is a romantic break away from the hussle of life.
