Courtyard Tarrytown Westchester County

The hotel was in an excellent location for our needs,as I was having a medical procedure. It was very accessible to major highways and local roads. There were many restaurants in the area offering a variety of food choices. The staff was very accommodating and took care of our every need. I definitely would stay here again when I am in the area. I highly recommend it.

I booked a room about a month before stay. Got to the hotel at 9 pm and was told because I was checking in "late" the only available room was on the ground floor (hotel is built into a hill, so it was more like a basement level). When I complained was told that "check in is at 3" and other people got here before you so we gave them the better rooms"... I was dropping someone off at JFK for a flight, was I supposed to call the hotel and tell them I was arriving late so they would have saved me a "better" room?? !! No elevator, so had to drag baggage down the steps. The room itself was fine except for the fact that glass sliders opened to street level road/parking area, so wasn't feeling totally safe. There was a centipede in the bathroom crawling around and there was hair (not mine) in the shower before I got into it. The lobby area was nice and they had a starbucks in the lobby as well. I know rooms in the tri-state area are more $$ but what I paid for this room in a 3 star hotel at best is more than I have paid for a 5 star hotel in other locations. There are alot of other hotels in the area but they were all booked when I tried to find a hotel. For all of the hotels in the area there were not alot of restaurants nearby, which was surprising.

My back still hurts from hardest bed I ever slept on.Constant banging from roof work waking me up. Never saw a hotel so run down.When I explained to front desk,another associate smirked. I saw him I'm a preschool teacher and nothing gets by me. He thought my displessure was funny. Nat a good experience for a Marriott.

I was psyched to visit this facility since I received an email from the hotel's general manager. The email advised me that repairs were being conducted on-site during my visit. These repairs might cause some added noise, but the hotel team would do all they could to minimize its impact during my stay. WOW!!! You just gotta appreciate the heads up. Upon arriving on-site, I was warmly greeted, and the team member took great effort to locate me away from the construction area. My room was wonderful and exceptionally clean. It was obvious that the housekeeping team took incredible pride and effort in their tasks. I was so impressed. Great stay and great team.

My husband and I stayed one night. The room was outstanding - recently renovated, sparkling new and clean. Very comfortable bed. One design flaw: The King room with sofa (we had #337) had its TV installed off to one side of the bed, so only one person in the bed could view it, by looking sideways. The TV was bolted down so it could not be moved. So you might wish to reserve a different room type. Guess it was my fault to fail to notice that breakfast was NOT included - the front desk clerk said this is the policy on all Courtyards. This wouldn't have been bad if the on-site restaurant were moderately priced - but it was $15 for two eggs! If we had eaten there, it would probably have cost $50+ for breakfast once we added coffee - maybe Okay for a corporate expense account, but not for ordinary mortals. Fortunately, there is a Bagel Emporium just a mile down the road that serves two eggs on a bagel for $4, definitely worth the extra trip.

My wife and I stayed there for one night and it could not have been more pleasant. We were greeted by Jeffery and Gabriella at the front desk who were very informative about the area and were eager to answer any questions. The room seemed brand new and very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel. There were no disappointments.

Good experience. Very friendly staff. Everything looks new. Third floor room looked new and very clean and QUIET. Hotel is not on a major highway. No breakfast buffet. Café is pricey at $10 to $14 per item....especially if you are expecting the usual free buffet. Free and easy parking. I will stay there again.

The customer-facing staff were well-trained and cordial throughout our stay. The common areas reflect the fairly new design and have been updated. The bistro was fine. The hallways needed a good carpet-cleaning, with a one-inch ***** of dirt and grime along each wall. The floor plan is like many other older courtyards, mostly horizontal, with only a single elevator in a remote corner of the hotel, far from the check-in desk. A very odd location.
