We didn't stay at the Inn. rather, we were at another hotel 3 blocks south and walked here for dinner. The grounds of the hotel were well maintained and the gardens were absolutely beautiful. Fortunately we came on a Friday night, which apparently is the day of the week that all the locals either go out or pick up take-out, because the place was hopping! Directly off the street entrance the dining area is in a lovely open-air courtyard plaza area filled with flowering trees and shrubs, while the medium-sized bar is under an overhang of the main building. We started out sitting at a small table outdoors for drinks, enjoying the company of a local kitty, but in between placing our orders and getting served a post-sundown shower erupted, and we all headed under an adjacent protected spot. Then, in true island fashion, we all ran back out and carried our tables and chairs back under cover so the evening could progress, and pitched in to get everything back to operational status. The food and drinks here were exceptionally good, but special mention is required for the hardest-working service staff I've ever seen. I have no idea how two those ladies, (a mother and daughter team) managed to handle a crowd of approximately 40-50 in-house diners, plus about a third that many at the bar, and a seemingly endless stream of local folks stopping by for their pick-up meals, but they did so, and they accomplished it without showing and anger or frustration. It was a perfect example of the combination of strength, energy, and duty that makes these islands so special.
