Grand Junction Palomino Inn

Step back in time to a nice, quiet little family-run motel. Clean, tidy, attractive, seemed well maintained. The price was good, bed quite comfortable, Ivana at the front desk welcoming and helpful. The bathroom appeared to have new fixtures and was perfectly clean. The HVAC hummed along nicely with no quirks, moans or buzzes to manage (this is big for me). You can tell they take pride in "doing it right."

Old style one-story motel where you park outside the room. Friendly check-in (by owner I believe). Limited check-in hours which end at 10:30 pm. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean, with all appliances and wifi working well including the A/C. Nice linens and bedding was comfortable. No breakfast is offered and the pool did not appear to be open. This seems to be a somewhat sketchy part of Grand Junction but I had no issues during my stay. (I always remove any valuables overnight if I get this kind of vibe). I believe the price is reflective of the accommodation relative to other choices in Grand Junction. I would stay there again.

We stayed here overnight in October. Palomino is an older style motel but we found it clean, tidy and comfortable. The check in staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a good size fridge/freezer which we used, plus good TV and WIFI. The shower was nice and hot. We found the bed comfortable for a good night sleep. Despite being close to a busy road we were not disturbed by traffic noise. The bathroom being small had little room for toiletries, but as we only stayed overnight, not much of a problem. A good overnight stay here.
