A lovely set of modern clean apartments set in a quiet village close to busy Garmisch-Partenkirchen. There should've been a stunning view too across the large lawn towards the mountains, but in our 3-days the cloud cover didn't budge (can't hold that against them though!). The apartment was a nice size with all amenities in the kitchen and bathroom. Large very comfortable bed, sofa, table, chairs, big TV, good WiFi, etc. If you need it, it's there with even a dish-washer in the kitchen-ette. The owner was a super-friendly guy who took time to help and explain everything. The local train station was 2-minutes away (you won't here the trains) and you can get a free local bus pass (bus-stop 2-minutes away but services stops quite early) to avoid the exorbitant parking charges around here. It's in a quiet village and whilst you can walk to a couple of bars / restaurants, you'll need to go into the main town for more. A lovely relaxing place with a great view (I'm told) and a charming host - you won't be disappointed.

Das Apartment im Erdgeschoss des Buchenhofs war sehr schön eingerichtet, sauber, modern und heimelig. Die Küche war klein, aber sehr ordentlich und hatte fast alles was man braucht (kein Backofen, aber eine Spülmaschine). Der Garten war gepflegt und groß und der Gastgeber sehr freundlich ☺️ Es gab Tipps zu Grainau und der Umgebung Das Hotel liegt zwar direkt an einer Straße, aber wir haben fast nichts von ihr mitbekommen, sie war auch nicht sehe befahren. Und nebenan an der Gungl Stubn konnte man gut essen und trinken. Der Fußweg nach Grainau sind ca. 20Min durch einen schönen Park, am Bach entlang. Nur zu empfehlen!
