You get what you pay for! We stayed here for a week in August with 3 children in a villa. The air con in the villa was great and really spacious. It’s a bit tired but not bad and they were quiet, away from the evening entertainment. Room cleaned every day and mini bar stocked. The main pool is busy but we didn’t have trouble finding sun beds around 10/10.30. We did book a cabana most days as it was cooler by the sea and we liked the space. The first day we had excellent service, but thereafter I don’t think I was asked if I wanted a drink once. Also, it’s not champagne they give you but some pretty awful fizz, we declined it after the first day. The snack bar staff are superb and they work so hard. Many told us they work 12 hours shifts for 6 days straight and they still do it with a smile. The food other than pizza is not great though! This was an ongoing theme! Watersports were good fun and we all enjoyed those at not eye watering prices either. The water sports sales man is so nice, chat to him if you see him and break up his day. The spa treatments we had were superb and I would recommend them highly, even the kids chocolate massage! Booking into the Al a carte restaurants were tricky and despite it being the first thing I did when we arrived (before I even unpacked the case), we still couldn’t get into them. We never got into ADA despite moaning, a lot, to guest relations. Lotus was terrible, genuinely worst Chinese I’ve ever eaten. Miserable staff too. Steakhouse was good and nice people, great with the kids. Seasons was awful and all our plates were left uneaten. Finally had a good meal at Saffron. If this is the only one you can book then it’s no loss. Enjoyed it and the staff were good too. Buffet is the same every day and every breakfast/lunch/evening. No labels on anything so not sure how people with allergies coped. Three of us have been unwell with sickness and upset stomach. No idea what from as all ate different things. Guest relations seem to wander around ticking a box by asking if you’re ok but don’t do much when you say if anything isn’t ok. Entertainment was good and loads for the kids as well as adults too. My best advice for guests is to tip little and often. It makes a huge difference to the service you get! Overall it’s a decent hotel that needs some updating and remedial works but it wasn’t particularly expensive and we were generally happy for what we paid. That said, we wouldn’t return until they improved all the food and the hotel has a facelift. Cengiz was excellent at the snack bar. Ibrahim at breakfast.
