Lovely view from beach-facing windows so no need to go outside if weather is bad. I was in need of a break with meals provided but I could not have guessed how good the food would be. I honestly have not had its equal since a stay at The Ritz last year. I am claustrophobic so won't go in a lift alone and have difficulty in walking upstairs but one of the staff or a passing guest would always assist me to reach my 2nd floor room. Room was perfect, spacious and bathroom had the walk-in shower which I needed . Looking forward to a return visit at the end of summer.

Food amazing and staff are so hospitable........well done to all.....visit The Pier Hotel fortnightly when in the area. Breakfast is excellent as well and evening meals are brilliant.....a warm welcome greets you....Gorleston on sea a gem.

Stayed for 2 nights for my mum’s celebration of life. The whole team were amazing but massive thanks to Hayley who really looked after us during an upsetting time. The pier hotel is in a great location. The food is delicious. All the staff are really friendly and the service is 5 star.

We visited on a glorious Spring day so could take advantage of the Pier Hotel's sunny position and enjoy a drink outside soaking up the sun. We moved inside to eat and was spoilt for choice from the extensive menu. We chose fish and chips and lasagne, both were excellent. Piping hot, generous and nicely presented. The service was fast and friendly. The interior of the hotel is pleasant, light and clean. We would thoroughly recommend.

We called in as we always do when in the area, but what a disappointment this visit was. Toilets were dirty (never a good sign) as the saying goes “dirty toilets/dirty kitchen” Bar area was also dirty with uncleared tables and food on the floor-you can’t argue with the photos! Chairs ripped and torn, looks unloved and in need of a deep clean, lick of paint and a spruce up. We actually wondered if it had recently changed ownership? Such a shame as it used to be a lovely hotel😞

We have just spent 4 nights at the Pier Hotel and we couldn’t be more pleased it really is a wonderful place the staff are so friendly and helpful nothing is to much trouble we had a room with a sea view and it was beautiful very clean and the bathroom was massive, we have eaten here every night the food is delicious and the breakfast is great so much choice. We will definitely be back perhaps later on in the year and we would also recommend it to friends and family

I have visited The Pier many times over the years just to have a bit of lunch, sitting out looking out to see. Always found the staff extremely friendly and efficient. This time we stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and were so impressed with everything about the place. Loved the decor, and we had an excellent view. Our breakfasts were delicious and again the staff were so helpful and efficient. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to all my friends. Gorleston is a very pleasant place to wander around and walking along the prom is a wonderful experience whilst looking out to sea.

This hotel is in a beautiful area and the views from our room were amazing the staff were great the restaurant food perfect bar staff very knowledgeable and friendly I would definitely be this hotel to others and will definitely be staying there again myself

We only stayed for one night in room 106 but would stay again as it was a very comfortable stay. There are just a couple of issues that would’ve made it a perfect stay rather than a nice stay. The room was small but clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and warm. The bathroom had a smell of drains about it and we couldn’t get the TV to come on so some instructions for that would have been handy. We ate in the bar at lunch time – I had the veggie burger which was tasty but for the price you pay, I’d expect a bit more of a salad with it. My partner had the shepherds pie which looked amazing and home cooked. I had a wine and my partner had Doom bar on tap but they didn’t taste great – wine tasted cheap. Breakfast was ok but nothing special really – and slow to top up things like the bread and bowls of fruit. Would’ve preferred tinned tomatoes and button mushrooms rather than half a large portabella mushroom. The carpet on the stairs was a bit grubby and could’ve done with a vacuum but it wasn’t done in the time we were there. All of the staff were really nice and the position of the hotel right next to the beach can’t be any better.
