Esperienza terribile questa sera nel ristorante, ho ordinato un lotte (coda di rospo) dopo averne mangiato un paio di bocconi ho trovato un verme anisakis vivo … il pesce infatti era poco cotto e di sicuro non era stato abbattuto adeguatamente. Il manager ha minimizzato asserendo che la presenza del verme era normale, dicendomi che sia io che lui abbiamo i vermi, con una supponenza vergognosa. Abbiamo subito chiesto il conto ed il mio menù non è stato conteggiato, ma questo non assolve il ristorante, che ha messo in pericolo la mia salute e quella degli altri commensali ai quali è stato servito lo stesso pesce. Spero di non avere conseguenze.

Hotel ottimo, nuovo, moderno ma con tocchi classici, con un bellissimo giardino pieno di alberi di alto fusto e prato all'inglese, una valida zona piscina (a nostro avviso con qualche lettino di troppo) ed un ristorante all'aperto veramente speciale, in cui abbiamo goduto di colazioni e cene splendide, le migliori dell'intero viaggio (abbiamo prenotato una formula di mezza pensione). La camera superior era al primo piano, con bella terrazza e affaccio sul giardino interno, con anche Gordes sullo sfondo, grande, nuova. Posizione in piena campagna, ai piedi di Gordes, da cui dista circa 10 minuti in auto. Il personale del ristorante molto gentile e disponibile. Il personale della reception nella media, dipendendo dalla persona, forse una maggiore attenzione in una struttura così bella sarebbe auspicabile.

We have been going to the Carcarille for almost 30 years. It is a wonderful family run hotel that has been beautifully renovated in recent years. Brothers Dominique and Christophe are a great team who make you feel at home. The food is fantastic, giving guests the ability to experience gourmet French food in a beautiful setting. An added bonus is that the hotel is perfectly located to explore the Luberon region.

Such a charming family-owned restaurant and hotel! I went with a hiking group and Domenic was such a gracious host. He helped us arrange a tour and tasting at a local olive farm where we learned all about growing and processing olives in Provence. He entertained us with a wine tasting at the hotel, and helped arrange transportation when needed. The food was amazing! I’m a vegetarian and the chef really made an effort to make delicious and unique meals for vegetarians every night - which was not my experience at all the hotels we stayed at. The desserts were decadent! I would highly recommend this hotel for a real Provence experience!

Already been once long time ago with some friends, travelling around for few weeks , we came back to this restaurant & not disappointed at all . They proposed different menu with choices . The food was delicious , very well presented & really friendly & professional staff members . You really feel in Provence , really calm. I highly recommended 😁

Located a short drive from Gordes, Hôtel Carcarille provides a great base to visit Gordes and to explore the surrounding area. The hotel is on scenic grounds with a lovely swimming pool. The room was on the small side but comfortable. (We skipped on breakfast.) Gordes is a uniquely beautiful village but accommodations in Gordes and immediately near it are limited an expensive. Hôtel Carcarille is a great alternative and, if we return to Gordes, we will return here, too.

This is a fantastic place to stay and eat in Provence and one we have visited often as it offers such good value. We always have room 26 as it offers a comfortable area with a lovely view of Gordes. The food is fantastic and the chef is very creative and his tomato tarte a favourite . The staff are welcoming and friendly yet discreet. There is a real family friendly feel here and they all appear during your stay constructing in some way or another to the efficient running of the place. They offer indoor and outdoor dining and always a special treat, given we come from Scotland, to eat outdoors on their lovely terraced area. The restaurant is nearly always full often with large tables of locals which is testamount to the appeal of the food. The swimming pool area is relaxing and private and the courtyard area offers a guiet relaxing space to enjoy a pre dinner glass of fizz. I would recommend anyone considering a visit to this area, books to stay and dine here. Great walks from door to door to the surrounding towns and villages and spectacular gorges.
