A word class hotel/spa in a lovely location. This was our 4th visit and we hope not our last. The staff are exceptionally nice and helpful and work hard to accommodate any necessary schedule changes (an illness requiring hospitalization) with grace and sympathy. The nearby village of Gordes is the epitome of Provençal charm and an easy drive to several similar small towns. We highly recommend Les Bories.

Absolutely perfect in every way. I initially booked 2 nights and then extended it to 3 after the first night. Was a lot the rooms are lovely, the grounds are extensive and beautiful. The service is excellent. We ate in the restaurant for both the bistro style menu and the gourmet menu. The gourmet menu was really very good. The bistro style also good for that different level. The service was the same at both dining levels. Easy drive to both Gordes and the abbey.

Beautiful hotel with excellent caring and friendly staff. We stayed at this hotel for 8 days and it was one of the most relaxing and lovely experiences we have ever had. Dinner was outstanding--the service was kind, thoughtful, and professional, the food deliciously prepared and artfully presented, and the ambience--spotless and crisply starched white table cloths, lovely pink and white roses, lovely views of the distant mountains and green valley. Breakfast buffet optional outdoor seating- full breakfast of fresh baked bread, chocolate croissants, scrambled eggs, soft fresh cheeses, smoked salmon, fresh whole milk yogurt, fresh strawberries. Room was serenely quiet with views of the mountains and valley, all white marble bath facilities and towel heater (!), roomy storage space. On site Spa with convenient and always open daily availability. Indoor heated and outdoor pool (non-heated). Extensive onsite trails exploring all of the "bories". Location of this hotel was perfect for accessing Arles, Avignon, Cotes du Rhone, Aix en Provence, Luberon hill towns, Nimes/Roman Aqueduct, St. Remy. Daily teatime at 4 pm. We were sad to leave--hope to come back again!

While my wife and I did not stay at the hotel, we visited the restaurant for dinner from a nearby hotel in Gordes, and I cannot recommend this restaurant in any regard. Firstly and most importantly, my wife got food poisoning and spent the night getting sick. Secondly, after we placed our order (entree, plat, and dessert), our entrees proceeded to arrive within 5 minutes, and upon completion, the main course arrived within another couple of minutes. I know that the kitchen wasn’t able to whip our orders up in that amount of time, so evidently, par-cooked items were being improperly stored—hence the food poisoning. Finally, the wine: we ordered a beautiful rose and an expensive red. The rose came out in a timely manner, however, the red did not come out until after our main courses were served (perhaps because everything was so rushed in the kitchen). When the red did come out, it was not the red we ordered; in fact, they were out of the red we ordered, so we kindly chose another bottle while our meals got cold. Then, at the end of our main courses, the sommelier mentioned that his team had found the bottle of wine originally ordered in the cellar—perfect timing. We asked if it would be possible to order the bottle to take away but were told it would be impossible. The sommelier mentioned he had just started within the month and, but in any event, no exception was made and no accommodation was offered: bad service for an expensive meal. We should’ve been wary when the menu online didn’t line-up with the menu at the restaurant, and not just for seasonal changes—there was no gastronomic/tasting menu option at the restaurant—this was likely because the B team was in the kitchen for shoulder season, but May in Provence, come on. This was a far, far cry from the sort of experience we expect from a self-respecting restaurant, let alone one that charges over 100 euros for a meal (excluding wine), let alone a restaurant that is listed in the Michelin. I am hoping that the restaurant reaches out to help remedy this situation.
