Discovery Parks - Goolwa

We have always found the facilities at this park to be great, but the addition of en suite powered sites has put it in the exceptional bracket. It is super clean, safe, and well located for a holiday on The Fleurieu Peninsula. We have found no equal to this venue in the region.

Excellent cabin. Great value for money. Even though not totally refurbished this cabin was a comfortable nights stay. The cabin was clean and well maintained. The only fault it had was the internet connection kept dropping out and it was very frustrating trying to update and read my emails. I'm guessing it wasn't a strong connection because the cabin was quite a distance from the office block.

Was quite happy to book on line but price quoted per night did not equate with what should have been total price. Tried ringing 3 times, each time leaving a message. Answering machine each time saying someone will ring you shortly. Very disappointed, went elsewhere

We stayed at this caravan park for 6 nights with friends in our vans. This a fairly new park and is very roomy and lots of sites. The toilets are super clean, lots of hot water. The laundry offers washing machines and dryers. The sites are very easy to get into. Very kid friendly park with plenty of activities available. Staff were super friendly at the sites are very well priced. Would recommend

We had the worst week of weather- strong winds and rain - over 6 mm. (This can’t be helped) Two families children under 8.Sites 170&171, low point for the park. After the rain caravans surrounded by 2-5mm of water. Approached the ‘dragon lady’ at reception advising her that we were in ‘a swamp’ and asked to be able to hire a cabin for the remainder of our stay. Given a flat’No’ and no offer of assistance. So we performed our own flood mitigation works! and Op-shopped while the water drained away. However the kids loved the park, the new amenities adequate although two cleans a day needed. Sites have no shade but planting has taken place and would be uncomfortable on a hot day. Big pool does not have shade cloth. Unsure if we would return.

This is an outstanding park where staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed for 10 nights on a powered site which had lush green lawn. This park caters for larger caravans and motorhomes and it was refreshing to have a large easy to access site. Loved the outlook as were backed onto stables (we were advised on booking that as this is a working horse business you may hear the horses being worked & transported early morning). We found the the new amenities clean and tidy as was the well equipped camp kitchen. There are several bbq areas with seating available. They have herbs growing for the community. For children there are so many activities from the resort style pool, another pool at front of park, splashdown area, 2 bouncy pillows, badminton, soccer, 2 playgrounds and of course trikes to hire. Weekend they had pancakes for Brekky and Saturday a lunch sausage sizzle all for just a gold coin donation for charity. Park is located to walking distance to Main Street and wharf. You can also walk to larger shopping centre with supermarket & speciality shops. Highly recommend.
