Hotel in zona Kunstgras tilburg, Goirle

When staying at the hotel we couldn’t fault it. Children stay free if sharing a room, and we had booked to visit Efteling. We didn’t realise but our stay coincided with carnival, for this reason I think we were allocated a room at the back of the hotel (as I can imagine those front facing would be very noisy - there is a huge stage directly in front of the hotel at this time, as well as many food vans and outside bars etc - not that any of this worried us). So our room was on the 5th floor at the rear with a direct view of the multi story car park! (But we didn’t book for a view!). The room was well equipped with a comfy bed and a seperate shower and toilet. Everything was very clean. The only issue I would say regarding the rooms is that they were very dark so it was hard to see your items in the wardrobe. Not a big deal! The staff on reception were really helpful and chatty, and gave us lots of advice. It’s super easy to reach Efteling from here, we walked to the coach station (just by the train station) and there were regular buses. Again children travel free. You could walk to the station in about 10-15 mins. The shopping streets are very close to the hotel, and nice for a stroll - plenty of places to eat etc. we enjoyed backwerk bakery just a couple of shops down from the hotel, they did fresh smoothies and juices and lovely fresh sandwiches. Perfect for brunch/lunch. There is a Taco Bell next to the hotel! My son wanted to try it but we didn’t get chance! The issue for us came out check out, our flight wasn’t until the evening so we asked to use the secure luggage room for our case so we could enjoy our last day. We came back to the hotel to pick up our bag, and make our way to the airport. I was let in to the luggage room to get our case, but it had gone. The staff didn’t know what to do, apart from check and speak to other staff members. Eventually I asked to see the manager as we really needed to leave (fortunately we had been sensible and kept our passports and money etc on us). And I was asking for something in writing to say they had “lost” our case - as I didn’t feel comfortable just leaving with no proof (they also wanted to take the luggage receipts - I think because they wanted to figure out what had happened). The manager was “checking the CCTV” but upon our second request did come out and see us. She did apologise for the case going missing (after a long time!! More hearing about how strange this was?!?) and said if it “wasn’t found” they would replace it. At this point I was getting concerned about travelling home without any of our things, especially with my son, for example some warmer clothes, his switch!! I felt the customer service here was lacking, there was no gesture here - could they assist us getting to the airport for example - She did offer to go to the shop but by this point we were cutting it so fine to get to the airport / which we said to her! We have previously stayed at the Ibis Tilburg and our stays have been good. This particular incident is very disappointing. My husband & I are traveling from Norway to Portugal and have planned our route & hotels. We chose the Ibis brand due to it being cost effective, clean, well staffed & pet friendly. We are traveling 9 days all Ibis hotels. Upon going over our Itineraries, I noticed that one of the dates were wrong. I’m sure it was something as simple as a fat finger but I immediately made contact with the hotel. Here is where the story gets interesting. I spoke with a young girl via email. She informed me that because I bought it online and it was paid that there was nothing that we can do. I did not buy a “flex” room?. In my defense, I did go back and look and it was quite confusing as to flex or non flex. I’ve never bought a flex. I’ve never had a problem in any hotel. I travel a lot. Now mind you all I’m asking for is to change the date to June 25 from June 26. I don’t want a refund & I’m willing to pay extra and we went back-and-forth several times each time I asked who is the property manager no response. Finally when I informed them that I am going to talk to corporate and write a review, I start getting emails from the front of the house property manager. He informed me that it’s not “fair” If he was to help us, but if I wanted to sell my room to someone and change the name that they would do that well that’s not what I’m looking for. The email exchange was absurd and repetitive. I have since found out that the Ibis is a franchise. So each Ibis has different rules and regulations. Well I have since booked with another Ibis hotel and I am very pleased. No, I’m not looking for anything for free but I think if you are in the hospitality business that you should provide hospitality. The tone of the emails and just the uncooperative attitude has soured me on this brand. I feel as they could have made this situation which was a mistake and there would be no financial consequence to the hotel that they could’ve actually helped us. This particular franchise in Tilburg is unwilling to break the rules, (he also told me it didn’t matter if there was illness or a fat finger, rules are rules) and everything to them was black & white. I live in the gray & sometime you have to help your guests, again there would be no financial loss to them. They did offer that I could buy another room, and of course they would keep my money from the wrong date, I chose to find a new hotel, and I highly would never recommend this facility for any travel to anyone. DO better Tilburg

Bijzondere overnachting in dit hotel. Entree is dezelfde entree als het bejaardenhuis wat er aan vast zit. Het ontbijt bevindt zich bij binnenkomst links, waarna je door een gangetje langs de receptie moet lopen om het op te kunnen eten. Daarbij kwam ik dus diverse bejaarden tegen. Ik heb niks tegen bejaarden, maar het geeft een bepaalde sfeer. Het hotel is verder zeer gehorig. Toiletten die door getrokken worden, douche wat in andere kamers aan gaat en gepraat op de gang is allemaal goed te horen. Ook veel geluid van buiten (ligt echt aan het centrum) en aan die zijde hadden wij ook de kamer. Kamer is verder prima, matras was goed. Het dekbed was erg warm (het was uitzonderlijk warm in oktober). Badkamer ook prima. Ontbijt is lekker en het personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Vanwege de combinatie hotel/bejaardenhuis zou ik niet snel terug gaan, maar dat ligt echt aan mijn eigen ervaringen met een bejaardenhuis en de herinneringen die ik daar aan koppel.

This is a lovely hotel - awesome reception, dining and relaxing areas - very luxurious! Service was excellent. Breakfast was tasty with good choices and plenty of seating. Parking was free and good amount of places. The room was a big let down. The good part was the comfy bed and the well set out wardrobe/cupboard areas for clothes and suitcases. The bad part was the bathroom - hair dryer head no longer stayed on, shower floor got super wet after shower (due to door only covering half of shower unit), shower heads were a bit useless for pressure, the bathroom was not clean and didn’t look like anyone had done it properly for a while (see photos). A big disappointment considering the rest of the hotel.

Siamo venuti qui per alloggiare con l'apertura dell'hotel nel 2018 e caduto qualcosa contro soprattutto le aree organizzative (malattie infantili) e infinite. Ora 6 anni dopo siamo qui per la seconda volta durante il nostro fine settimana a Tilburg. Iniziavamo in età minore quando ci chiamavamo un ricevitore di ricezione piuttosto ininteressato e aziendale, non ci sentimmo molto benvenuti, abbiamo ricevuto la stanza 409 al quarto piano, una stanza molto spaziosa con tutto quello che c'era e tutto quello che c'era. Bella camera da bagno con doccia in entrata e bagno da letto. Tutto era molto pulito. Letti fantastici e cuscini. Grande schermo piatto, ghiaccio, caffè e tee. Ben 2 minuti : nessun acqua presente nella stanza e il Nespresso era difettoso. Fortunatamente c'è un piccolo servizio di autoservizio nella sala di ingresso dove si può acquistare di tutto. Che bel hotel è questo comunque. Molto accogliente arredamento e così super tranquillo. Non abbiamo usato il benessere, ma andiamo a vedere il settimo piano e tutto sembra bene. Durante la nostra prima visita, questi spazi non erano ancora finiti. Abbiamo anche scelto, dopo aver letto le numerose riviste, di cenare a Tilburg, ma la colazione era di buona qualità e le tavole sono state ripulite in tempo. Il nostro t****o soggiorno è stato molto più positivo della nostra prima visita e questo ci renderà sicuramente di nuovo in questo hotel quando siamo vicini. Suggerimenti : una macchina Nespresso attende una rivolta di manutenzione nella stanza 409 (non funziona bene) e fai qualcosa per la gentilezza del tuo team di accoglienza perché sono la prima faccia di un hotel. Great restaurant and wellness and also the rooms are nice and most of them have a balcony. Pretty expensive rooms (I’m uses to travel to Qatar,Dubai and Miami, so I know what good hygiëne,service and luxury is. The beds and theme rooms are awesome. The’re are not dayrooms, it’snt possible to book. Roomservice is ridiculise high, I’d rather tip the employee myself.
