Hotel in zona Parów Karaski, Gmina Nieporet

I have to stay I have not stayed here but - unfortunately - I DID BOOK a room here via Booking.com. It was only for one quick night so a two-star hotel would have done just fine. My booking said I would have to pay by the hotel and also included free cancellation. I am a bit wary of lower-class hotels - turns out rightfully so - therefore, thinking that I would have to pay at the accommodation anyway, I provided them with details of my top-up credit card. A bit later they contacted me saying that my card was not valid and I would have to give them another card. (Turns out they wanted to pre-authorize my credit card.) After a couple of messages with the hotel to clarify this and also make sure that cancellation would be free indeed, I updated my credit card details and let them know. Yet, without warning, they abruptly canceled my booking stating that my credit card was still not valid. Now, as you see it in my profile, I travel quite a lot, and never ever have I had my credit card rejected by a hotel so it sounded all very dubious. All in all this hotel seems very fishy and suspicious so perhaps it is a lucky escape. Mind you they have my credit card details so hopefully, I will not be subjected to credit card fraud on their behalf.

La nostra esperienza è stata cattiva, ma la stessa è stata soprattutto per mala fortuna. Come cosa più soggettiva, ho problemi di schiena e il letto mi sembrava orribile, mi svegliavo ogni mattina doloroso (il mio partner, che non ha alcun problema di schiena, si lamentava anche). Ma quello che mi ha fatto notare male è che una sera siamo arrivati nella nostra stanza e la porta era aperta a coppia (non mancava nulla, ma come si pulivavano la mattina aveva immaginato che era stato gettato tutto il giorno aperto). Siamo scesi a chiedere di essere più attenti e la persona in reception non sembrava molto intenzionata a capire l'inglese (non sono proprio una macchina che parla inglese, ma devo parlarlo di solito e poi ho cercato di farlo capire per un po'): La sua risposta è stata un gesto di incomprensione e non si è scusato. Per non essere tutto cattivo, devo dire che l'hotel è molto ben comunicato con il centro (metro e tram) ed è un quartiere molto piacevole. La stanza era molto vasta. Offrivano gratuitamente un riscaldatore d'acqua con te' e anche bottiglie d'acqua.

I stayed here for a few nights on a sightseeing trip and had a lovely stay. The location is convenient for getting around as there are tram and bus stops directly outside the hotel and also a metro station less than ten minutes away (Dworzec Gdanski). You can also walk to the Old town easily. To and from the airport I preferred taking a taxi though as there is no direct line. The breakfast had everything I expected; various breads, cereals and hot dishes such as scrambled egg and sausages and fruit. The staff are polite and welcoming. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and the only noise I heard was from the odd siren outside during the night (I stayed in a room facing the busy street but was on the 5th floor so that helped). The rooms were very warm though and the air condition seemed to be set to heating only (maybe always at this time of year) so this was a little uncomfortable. The duvet was really thick as well so took a while to get used to. Other than that I think it's a great hotel for the price and location and would highly recommend it. The wifi was also superb, worked throughout the hotel and didn't cut out once.

Conosco molto bene Varsavia ma non avevo mai alloggiato in questa zona. Il quartiere è molto trafficato e collegato ottimamente con il centro grazie alla capillare distribuzione dei mezzi pubblici (ma questo vale per tutta la città). La fermata del tram è proprio davanti all'ingresso. L'hotel è di recente costruzione, le camere sono nuove, confortevoli e silenziose. Il letto comodo, abbiamo dormito bene. Ottima anche la pulizia. Anche la colazione ci ha soddisfatto, curata nei dettagli e nella qualità dei prodotti offerti. Il parcheggio sotterraneo, a pagamento, è molto comodo ma non ci sono indicazioni per raggiungerlo (è esattamente dalla parte opposta rispetto all'ingresso principale). L'interno della struttura è un pochino labirintico.

Il personale della reception è caldo e amichevole, soprattutto Victoria e Julia, sono gentili e utili

L'ostello è davvero super e direttamente nella città antica. Il prossimo fermo degli autobus è a circa 200 metri. Fino a Varsavia Centralna si corre circa 40 minuti o si prende l'autobus o il metro. Il personale è molto amichevole e utile. Si ottiene consigli per mangiare e attività. Inoltre, l'ostello offre sempre un programma mercoledì e domenica sera. Il giardino/terrazza offre facilmente accesso ad altri viaggiatori. Eravamo in una stanza doppia e questo era davvero bello. Era pulito e aveva un armadio e doccia e WC. Purtroppo la pressione dell'acqua nel terzo piano era molto bassa e il materasso era già un po' passato. Il cibo non è disponibile all'ostello, tranne snacks, ma alcune bevande. La cucina è molto pulita e ha in gran parte tutto quello che si ha bisogno. Anche l'ascensore è utile quando si porta bagagli. In generale, nonostante le due piccole ”debolezze”, mi consiglierei molto.

Sono rimasto qui per 6 notti durante il mio meraviglioso viaggio di 12 giorni in Polonia. Edyta, Magda, Amelia e Linda mi hanno fatto sentire come un VIP che soggiorna in un hotel a 5 stelle. Mi hanno aiutato a fare prenotazioni di treno, a preparare un test di coda per me prima di volare a casa, a dare un riscaldamento per assicurarmi che fossi caldo, e tutto questo è stato efficiente, professionale e con un sorriso grande. dove i miei nonni ebrei e i miei nonni sono fuggiti da oltre 100 anni fa, fuggindo dalla povertà e dall'antisemitismo. La mia camera era bella, il colazione era deliziosa e la posizione era bella, oltre al castello. Ma Edyta, Magda, Amelia e Linda sono per questo che tornerò a Varsavia e a questo hotel. Sono gia' in attesa della mia prossima visita.
