Hotel in zona McLellan Galleries, Glasgow

Dal momento in cui siamo arrivati a Glasgow, il personale ha avuto un'ottima assistenza e ha controllato le valigie presto e ci ha aiutato attraverso il controllo in corso, quindi dovremmo solo fornire un nome quando si accede alle 3:00. La nostra stanza era pronta a tempo, e Caitlin alla reception ha prenotato la nostra prenotazione per colazione e ci ha fornito informazioni grandi su diverse cose che potevamo fare a Glasgow. Abbiamo visitato il Parco Polochshaw e la collezione Burrell su sua raccomandazione e abbiamo trascorso quasi 4 ore a fare la bestia e a camminare intorno alle famose foreste. La stanza era pulita e piccoli tocchi come coni in camera una settimana calda e la scelta di cucchiaini solidi o morbidi ha davvero fatto la nostra esperienza a Glasgow meglio di quanto ci immaginavamo.

L'atout più grande dell'albergo è sicuramente la posizione: Buchanan Street è a 5 minuti, George Square poco più e la stazione degli autobus, da cui partono anche i pulmann per le gite a 2 minuti, nonostante questo però la zona è tranquilla e senza rumori molesti. La camera va benissimo: grande, con una bella poltrona ed un tavolino per rilassarsi, bagno comodo. Lo spazio per i vestiti, come per tutte le catene di questa fascia (Ibis, Mercure) non è moltissimo, se posso dare un suggerimento sarebbe utile, soprattutto nelle stanze doppie, inserire un paio di grucce di più rispetto alle 6 che già si trovano. La colazione ha proposte sia dolci che salate. Ottima l'idea di fornire yogurt fresco da condire con composta di frutta. Mancano però le fette di formaggio. Personale della reception molto cortese e disponibile. Consigliato

Abbiamo soggiornato per una notte dopo aver partecipato ad un evento al centro SEC. L'hotel è in una buona posizione per questo e l'OVO Hydro ma completamente isolato altrimenti. Avevamo una sala esecutiva che è stata nuovamente ristrutturata e senza spot. Le letti erano confortevoli e la doccia era grande. Abbiamo incluso il colazione con il nostro soggiorno e questa è l'unica parte del nostro soggiorno.. al di sotto della media cibo e certamente non valesse 22 sterline per persona. In generale, questo è un bel hotel e rimarrei se dovessi visitare Glasgow.

La posizione è estremamente sorprendente! Solo due minuti dalla stazione centrale. Ma la notte è tranquilla e accogliente. E è una camera moderata con letti puliti e asciugamani. Tutte le strutture correno bene fino alla mattina. L'aria condizionata nella stanza può essere regolata dal personale dell'hotel. Inoltre, c'è un bar conveniente al piano superiore, che può ottenere acqua calda e cibo. Vorrei prenotarla di nuovo.

Hotel perfetto! Bello, moderno design. Estremamente pulito e buone strutture nella stanza. La posizione è ideale. Siete vicini alla stazione ferroviaria centrale e siete anche vicini a molti ristoranti, bar, nightclub, negozi, un ****** e St Enoch Shopping Center. Il personale è molto attento alle vostre esigenze e le aree comuni sul pavimento sono in buone condizioni. Questo sarà certamente il mio hotel quando visiterò Glasgow!

Grazie al personale, come viaggiatore solitario ero piuttosto nervoso ma mi sentivo così sicuro. Check-in era liscio e amichevole. L'hotel è pulito, elegante e intelligente. Hai bisogno della chiave della tua stanza per usare gli ascensori, quindi mi sentivo così sicuro andare nella mia stanza. Io mi sono fermato in una camera doppia e era così spaziosa! Tutto era teso e ben posato. Anche se c’era una fiera divertente sulla prossima strada, non mi ha davvero turbato quando chiuse la finestra. È la prima volta che mi sono fermato in un hotel aparthotel e mi consiglierei! Non sapevo che avere il ghiaccio nel congelatore e nel cucinatore mi renderebbe così felice haha. Poi, in camera mia, potevo raffreddare l'acqua e mangiare un bel pasto senza dover fare un bagno più costoso. Il bagno aveva anche una bella tovagliola riscaldata, così ho avuto la tovagliola più calda, più fluffie! Nel lobby hanno un filtro d'acqua britannico, giochi da tavolo, attrezzature di cucina extra, cibo e bevande. Sicuramente tornerò se mai visitare Glasgow di nuovo!

It's close to public transportation, shopping areas, and major attractions, which made getting around very convenient. **Overall:** Moxy Hotel Glasgow is an excellent choice for travelers looking for a stylish, comfortable, and affordable stay in the heart of the city. Staff were very welcoming at reception. I had an issue I raised about my room, which they sorted immediately, very impre. Lovely breakfast

We booked this as we knew our flight home to Glasgow Airport was landing late and we could not face the long drive home at such a time. By the time we cleared with our bags and walked to the hotel from the terminal it was 2am when we checked in. Unfortunately we were given room 115, which was opposite the elevators on the first floor. It was also not only an accessible room with wet bathroom (no shower unless you wanted to flood the whole room) but also had a ”connecting” door to the next room. No idea who was on the either side, but not ideal for either of us given our late arrival. I was feeling extremely tired and and went straight to my bed - unfortunately it was far too soft and it was a double, so we tended to fall into the middle where the ”hole” or ”dip” in the mattress was. With us both trying to sleep on the outside of the mattress for comfort we continually pulled the small duvet from each other in an attempt to keep warm after our return from Africa. The pillows were also too soft for my liking, however that was minor compared to the mattress. There hours later, at around 5am the corridor started coming alive with excited children heading off on their holidays, running and squealing, literally!! I can't blame them for being enthusiastic, but perhaps their parents might have understood that some guests might still wish to sleep at that time? Thus our morning continued so when we finally dragged ourselves up for breakfast around 9am I was extremely tired and somewhat grumpy... Now to breakfast; a fairly good selection was on offer if you came at a quiet time. I saw some guests leave towards the end our meal time as they did not want to wait in the queue for what was left. My main gripe about the breakfast was again, not the hotel's fault, but the guests, who presumably are not used to staying in hotels and don't know what swerving utensils are for. I saw one female guest pick up and touch several slices of bread and returning them before picking what she put in the toaster machine. I purposely picked a slice she hadn't pawed and waited whilst it went through the machine, then just as it arrived a young man (her son I believe) whisked it away in front of me. Manners non existent. The breakfast staff were helpful and friendly and the food on offer was perfectly adequate if all the guests knew how to behave. All in all, we picked this hotel for a catch up sleep after a late flight in and we didn't achieve that so we will not be back.
