Siamo stati in questo hotel per una vacanza in agosto. Volevamo un posto che fosse il più possibile vicino alle piramidi e le aspettative in questo senso sono state rispettate. Lamentandoci di ciò ci è stato risposto che queste sono le caratteristiche delle camere Deluxe, prenotando una standard probabilmente ci avrebbero fatto dormire nella stalla.. State attenti alla scelta della camera in quanto le foto non corrispondono! Il personale anche se gentile purtroppo non parlava neanche lontanamente italiano (cosa invece specificata nella descrizione dell’hotel) Altra nota positiva le pulizie e il cambio asciugamani venivano effettuati quotidianamente.

L'hotel Indiana è davvero un bel posto, le camere sono molto confortevoli e grandi. Il letto era comodo con molti cuscini e una coperta di ricambio. il balcone era enorme e avevamo una bella vasca da bagno ad angolo. Abbiamo alloggiato in una suite executive per 2 notti ed è stato fantastico, la colazione è buona e ti riempie fino all'ora di cena. Il personale è ok.. non eccessivamente cordiale ma ok. Ritorneremo sicuramente in questo hotel la prossima volta che verremo al Cairo

Servizi: strutture vecchie, l'asciugacapelli è ancora riposto nel cassetto, il che è scomodo da usare per le ragazze con forze deboli. Pulizia: la camera era pulita bene. Ambiente: a parte vedere la Piramide di Cheope durante la colazione, non ci sono punti salienti. We traveled to this place with our infant with the only expectation of getting a pyramids view and considering the heat, flexibility to be very close to the pyramids at Giza. The location is one of the best in the vicinity, and gives a direct view of the Sphinx. We were welcomed by warm staff (Duniya) and greeted to the terrace wherein the pyramids and the sphinx were lit at night. It was a dusty evening, but the overall atmosphere was great. The incident that has set this stay apart from the others was a personal episode. The next day we chose to visit the major locations of Cairo side like the NMEC and Khan-al-Khalili, and some shopping. En route, my wife lost her phone and we were extremely stressed out in the evening, with all her contacts and memories on the phone. This is the instance when the hospitality of the hotel came into picture. Nearly everyone on the reception staff was aware of the situation, and they started going out of their way to help her. Be it calling the taxi at night and asking (more like instructing) to do whatever it takes to find the phone, to go at each and every place in Cairo and Giza we had been. Language is a constraint, and at each and every instant we wanted a person of trust to translate Arabic to English for us, and in addition, to provide guidance. Ashour at the reception constantly kept calling on my phone to ask updates. They even arranged for a late breakfast for us. To cut the story, we did FIND the phone and there was a happy story in the end. I have to place emphasis on the fact, that Cairo and Egypt functions on a different set of principles that involves a lot of over selling. If we can separate that emotion, and trust on such people who are really willing to help (they still might want to sell you a package ;)), sets the experience apart. They even treated our young kid with a friendship band. The restaurant food quality could be improved, but please remember, first and foremost its a tourist place with a very high footfall. I would like to visit Cairo again, and without a beat stay at this place. Thanks Duniya and Ashour for us to make our stay a very memorable one.

So, I booked this room months in advance. As we approached the arrival date, I emailed the hotel to let them know that we had a late flight coming in at around midnight. I wanted to make sure there were no issues. They replied back that it wasn't going to be a problem. The day before we arrived the hotel emailed me asking about our arrival time. Once again I told them that it was going to be a late arrival and the assured us it was not going to be a problem. We arrived at the hotel only to be told that they sold our room to someone else. I inquired as to how this could happen considering I communicated with them twice, the most recent being less than 24 hours. They didn't really have an answer, but told us that they we're going to take us to a sister hotel that was just as nice. We sat around waiting for them to get a driver to take us to this other hotel. While I was waiting I decided to look up this hotel which they told us was nicer than theirs. That was an outright lie, and this 'better hotel' was about $20 a night and had mediocre, at best, reviews. After waiting about 45 minutes to be taken to this other hotel, I learned it was about a 5-minute walk. Extremely frustrated, and it now being after 1:00 a.m. in the morning after 15 hours of flying, I decided to just walk to this other hotel. Keep in mind I've got my wife and son with me and I've never been to Cairo before. This was a very uncomfortable, highly concerning, and alarming experience. The next morning, we had planned to get up and begin our visit of Cairo, but we couldn't do that because we had to check out of this hotel, and walk to our original hotel. Once we got there, we had to sit and wait for the room we paid for to be ready. You would think the manager or owner would come over and at the very least apologize. This never happened, and as it stands I'm questioning whether or not I should dispute the charge that I paid on my credit card for a room we never received. What's most concerning, is that this hotel has a pattern for doing this. If you search other reviews online, you will find that this is happening to other customers. It would seem that they like to pull you in with the allure of their own nice hotel, only to shove you off to a lesser hotel and keep the money. My warning to anyone reading this, if you're planning on booking at this hotel, have a backup plan. You don't want to be like me where I have my wife and son at 1:00 in the morning coming into a foreign country only to find out they gave your room to someone else after you verified it twice. I would not stay at this hotel again if it was free. It is 100% not worth the risk

Very Clean, Comfy and well presented, Extremely accommodating, Very Welcoming and friendly service from both Osama’s, Best Breakfast i had during my entire trip..with a great view!! Great location for entrance to the Giza pyramids. 5 min walk A lot cleaner and quieter than the other side of Giza (sphinx entrance) where i started my trip 10days earlier.. I booked last minute for my final night stay in Egypt as I was flying out from Sphinx Int.. I was travelling by coach up from Hurghada which got delayed meaning i wouldn’t arrive until 2am, I also had problems with my phone so could not contact to inform. Getting into Cairo when my signal sorted, I received a msg from the Night porter saying He was looking forward to expecting me and to contact if any problems.. Only issue was finding the entrance but Osama came out to meet me in seconds of msging.. He asked what time i would like breakfast and asked if i would like awake up call at said time. Excellent warm friendly service, I had to get a picture with Osama in the morning before he finished his shift just to remember his fantastic warm welcoming smile Will certainly advise anyone to stay here for a great budget boutique hotel experience
