A family evening but Never Again, This was a complete rip off . Poor food , poor service , but wow they know how to charge . Mega expensive , won’t be coming back . A lot better places about in East Devon than this place . Also watch out for the 12.5% service charge . Incredible

Exellent location, fabulous old building and the staff were exellent, the service was exellent, the food not so good, the resteraunt manageress very professional and sorted out the problem, one meal was excluded from the bill and coffee on the house, although the food was disappointing I would give it another go, so times things don't live up to expectations and you have try it again

Shocking from start to finish Eating in kitchen restaurant, very poor choices at menu very expensive for everything , poor service. Quality of food nowhere near price charged and cold. Drinks expensive. Wouldn't have said it was very clean cobwebs and floor unswept. Local and will not be returning- very disappointing and not the first , done now

We have stayed in the Hotel before but this time had one of the Stream Wagons. Well equipped and comfortable with both indoor and outdoor baths and showers. Quiet idyllic setting with six well-spaced wagons in wooded area near a stream. 3/4 mile from the hotel and one can arrange pick up and return by Land Rover, but we drove. Free EV charging points in the parking area. Food was excellent as always at any of The Pigs, short menu of delicious food sourced from within 25 miles and good English wines on the list.

We came here for our anniversary and whilst the setting is lovely, the service is luke warm and quite robotic. Plus, the food is just ok and the prices are high for what it is! Our whole brill (which was £85) was slapped in front of us, with no offer of helping us to carve it or service it. We did ask one of the waitresses to send back to chef to slice or serve at the table. It was sent back to chef and whilst it was carved for us when it came back there was no offer of serving it onto our plates, in comparison with the sort of service you'd get in Europe where they'd carve and serve at your table - adding to the theatre. That said, the brill was beautiful which was the saving grace. Unlikely to come here again soon (being a local to Devon, that's a shame). Most staff need a good dose of personality.

After experiencing meals at Pig establishments we decided to break our journey for one night here on our way back from Cornwall. We stayed in the converted stable yard. Enormous room with a super comfy bed, ensuite was an amazing rainfall shower and a separate stand alone bath. The food in the evening was delicious from a small but perfectly formed menu in the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was extensive with cooked options available. The staff were great, lots of smiles and nothing was too much trouble. This Pig ticked all the boxes for us, stunning location, relaxed atmosphere and all round just a great place to stay. We would definitely recommend for a one night stay.

Generous room size, ensuite separate toilet and bathroom, with giant bath, a plus. Friendly helpful staff. The two drawing rooms to relax in for drinks and or cake were there to be enjoyed. Big comfortable bed Fabulous bar area in the entry Multiple dining options available, using local ingredients

We had a special family ceremony in the Folly and it was wonderful! We were blown away by the surroundings, the set up in the Folly, the great food and drink and the lovely staff who made it special. We would love to return and spend more time here. Thank you!

Gorgeous Manor House and grounds Fresh, organic food beautifully serves Very busy and good but slow service Cocktails very good indeed and comprehensive menu Pork crackling fabulous, lovely vegetables Menu not for everyone and mid to expensive for mains We had a lot of starters plus super vegetables After saying this, the bill was very expensive and although a good experience, would not return
