My partner and I stayed at Stirk House for two nights for a family wedding on Dec 23rd 2024. Our experience at this wonderful family run hotel was exceptional from the moment we arrived! The lovely lady who welcomed us at reception was so helpful we knew straight away we were in for a fabulous stay. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and we had a mulled wine in the bar in the evening before retiring to our room on the first evening. Our bedroom was lovely with a sofa and a large screen television, we even watched a Christmas film prior to getting ready for the wedding. The breakfast in the restaurant was excellent on both mornings with a good variety , cereal , fruit, pastries and the cooked breakfast was very tasty using local produce. The chefs even asked if we had enjoyed the wedding on the previous day! The lady who cleaned our room enquired as we were checking out if we had enjoyed our stay, such good customer service . The wedding itself was a fabulous celebration and we throughly enjoyed celebrating with my niece and her new husband . Stirk House was a magical experience that we both throughly enjoyed thank you so much for the warm welcome and the most wonderful of stays!

Once again a great stay at Stirk House! We were part of a 'Dance Weekend' here for the 3rd year running so it must be good! Staff superb, nothing too much trouble, fabulous breakfast! Room 16 excellent, (would benefit from a box of tissues) super bathroom, 2 TV's & fabulous views! A big shout out to your Master of Ceremonies, he's a treasure!

SHORT BREAK My partner and I had a superb 2 night stay, wonderful room and excellent food. Staff where extremely helpful. Throughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is in a wonderful location with excellent views. We booked a suite and it was amazing with two separate rooms plus bathroom, modern furniture.

I went for my best friend's wedding and it was a fantastic experience. Beautiful setting, exceptionally professional staff, everything went incredibly smoothly. Would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a memorable wedding location. Comfortable beds, amazing staff, excellent food and drink. Can't recommend it enough

The venue was utterly fantastic. The staff were friendly, professional and enjoyed our banter. Checkkng in was a breeze and finding my room (lodge) was easy and my view over tye valley was breathtaking. This venue is off the road, out in the countryside and I believe it is a hidden treasure. I will deffinately stay again.

We had the most amazing room. Stirk House is our happy place and somewhere we always love to return to. Every member of the team are so helpful polite and friendly. We first visited just over 7 years ago when our son got married and it was lovely then but it’s even nicer now. The views and surroundings are fantastic and how nice is it to sit around a lovely log fire in the chillier evenings. Will definitely be returning

We got married at Stirk House 3 1/2 years ago and love coming back and it never disappoints. Yet again the staff couldn’t have been nicer and the whole experience was amazing and we had a great time just getting away for the night. Thanks Danny & Andrea

Such a lovely venue, staff are very friendly and accommodating. I went there as a part of a wedding and the food is 10/10. All aspects of the hospitality were amazing and I would definitely go again even just for the weekend I didn’t want to leave.

Stayed here for one night for a friend's wedding in January. The communal areas were lovely with fires and soft furnishings. Drinks reasonable ( for a hotel). Food for the wedding and canapes delicious as was the breakfast. Lovely helpful friendly professional staff with the personal touch. Beautiful surroundings for a very special day. Rooms were lovely and had a good night's sleep.
