Wow!! What an amazing hotel. We arrived in the middle of a power outage, to be met by polite friendly and professional staff, we were made aware of the situation and offered a seat by the fire with complimentary nibbles, we were kept up to date with the situation throughout until power was restored. Considering the disruption, the staff remained calm and all food was delivered promptly and was delicious. The rooms were very tastefully done, well equipped and spotless, beds were extremely comfy and the rooms were toasty warm on a night that got below freezing. Breakfast was really good and we were well looked after by all of the staff. We have to say it is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and would 100% recommend The Melbreak to anyone. Well done everyone concerned

Lovely hotel, very clean, staff very friendly & the restaurant is very stylish & serves a delicious breakfast. The hotel is an old farmstead & the rooms are out the back in what was the old barn, which is nice as you don’t hear the traffic from the fairly busy road. Ideal place to stay to visit the western lakes.

First time staying In the suite and it was absolutely beautiful can’t fault it. Always a pleasant stay.staff are more than welcoming and the rooms are always clean and very well presented

We stayed for the first time a few weeks ago and had to come back again this weekend as it was so lovely! Rooms and bathrooms are spotless and modern, and the cooked breakfast set us up for a day of walking. We ended the day with a steak in the Conservatory restaurant, which was cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly and approachable, and work very hard to give their guests a good stay. We're already looking forward to the next time we visit.

Went for dinner. The food was very good. The restaurant staff were brilliant. Unfortunately getting a drink before and after our meal took ages. The bar was not staffed with enough people. We had to wait whilst she served people, organised drinks for the restaurant settled bills etc. We feel that the place was understaffed.

Fabulous hotel, very clean, we stayed for 3 nights and everyday the room was cleaned, staff were polite and helpful and the food was delicious and flavoursome, we would definitely stay again the rooms were modern and well equipped and there's everything you need

Exceeded expectations! The room facilities were quite modern, the shower cubicle was huge, the TV screen was large, the food was excellent, the staff were superb - friendly and attentive (special praise for Judith and Fernando). It was great to have multiple EV chargers on site. Highly recommended. Great value.

A lovely & friendly Hotel. Located about 50 mins from Scafell Pike. The rooms were modern, clean and above bathroom was excellent. Restaurant service was polite and a service with a simile! Food and drinks were excellent.100%?recommend.
