The town does not have that many options but this hotel is in the city center. Close to everything. Free parking and a nice outside terrace. The restaurant is great and has many fresh and local dishes (for some reason the center does not have many local dishes restaurants). Room is large but a bit outdated. Breakfast is a lil pricy for what you get but you can ask for scrambled eggs. Staff is very friendly.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt. Das Personal ist schnell und aufmerksam. Kleine, aber feine Speisenauswahl. Wein vorzugsweise aus der Region Saale Unstrut und auch Fleisch aus der näheren Umgebung wird angeboten. Das Essen war sensationell, das hatten wir nicht erwartet. Die Preise waren moderat. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir haben eine Geburtstagsfeier mit knapp 50 Personen im Dezember 2024 geplant. Schon die Planung war sehr professionell. Wie gewünscht fanden wir zB eine Spielecke mit Tisch vor. Der Raum war festlich gedeckt.Die Feier begann mit ausgezeichnetem original Thüringer Kuchen Das Bedienpersonal war überaus freundlich und umsichtig. Getränke wurden aufmerksam nachgefüllt. Wie gewünscht bekamen wir sehr gute Weine aus Thüringen ausgeschenkt. Das abendliche Dinner wurde uns vorgestellt und entsprach unseren hohen Erwartungen. Das Dessert und die Käse- und Schinkenplatten standen uns bis zum Ende der Feier zur Verfügung. Von weither angereiste Gäste übernachteten in freundlich eingerichteten und geräumlichen Zimmern. Das Frühstück war mit viel Obst und Gemüse und anderen Leckereien sehr abwechslungsreich. Unsere Gäste fanden einen separaten Raum für die erste Mahlzeit des Tages vor. Dies alles in einer ruhigen Atmosphäre.

Wir aßen im Restaurant des Hotels. Die Speisekarte ist vergleichweise klein, die Auswahl ist dennoch mehr als ausreichend, es sollte für jeden etwas dabei sein...Qualitativ fanden wir die Speisen sehr gut, wenngleich wir auf dem Teller ein wenig mehr Soße hätten finden wollen. Die bedienenden Damen sind sehr freundlich, im Gegensatz zu anderen Lokalen, die wir in den letzten Jahren besuchten, ist diese Freundlichkeit natürlich und nicht gespielt. Man kommt von Zeit zu Zeit vorbei, erkundigt sich, nach der Zufriedenheit und weiteren Wünschen des Gastes, ist hierbei aber nicht aufdringlich und zieht sich sehr schnell wieder zurück. Wir empfanden dies als sehr angenehm. Obwohl preislich ein wenig hoch, können wir das Restaurant durchaus empfehlen.
