The Artz Hotel

If only there was no renovation at the temple and maintenance at the escalator that connects Chin Swee Station and Temple, it would be five-star. Location is literally at the temple, so it's fresh and quiet. The shops closed at 7.30PM, starbuck at 7PM, and mini mart behind lobby at 10PM. Receptionist doesn't standby all the time so you should call/WhatsApp number at the desk if you need assistance. Checking out is simple, you just drop your key inside a box. If you want housekeeping, you must notify the receptionist. No in-room wifi, coffee or tea, but there are two water bottles and a kettle. There are glasses but no spoon (I bought my own coffee and spoon after reading reviews). During escalator maintenance it's better to come back before 5PM so you can get the shuttle bus from Chin Swee station, otherwise you better get the non-metered taxis.

There is no bias, but this is a fantasctic location. If you lean towards a different perspective on your daily routine in life, especially me a hotellier itself, Artz Room is highly recommendable. Do not expect wifi in the room. Do not expect air-conditioning. Do expect in room dining.manage your expectation on transport if you do not have one. We used Grab. Expect tranquility and beauty of mountain cliff view right beneath the Chin Swee Temple itself. Expect beautifully renovated rooms. We will come back.

The venue was great and the accomodation had everything needed for a good trip to Genting. Location was nearby to everything/near the top of the hill, bedding was nice and clean, shower and toilet area was clean with toiletries also provided, and you can open the windows (but be sure to close them before night time!). The staff were super friendly and best of all, the price in comparison to other stays in the area was pretty good. The place is also near the temple for site seeing! Also we were worried that it would be too far from restaurants/places to eat breakfast or snacks but because of the temple being nearby, there were a lot of restaurant/street food options available outside the venue (crepes were good!).
