Hotel in zona Genting Highlands, Genting Highlands

Check in process was smoothly. Room large, spacious and clean. Staff also very friendly and helpful. Room are well maintained eventhough outdated. Room cleanliness also are good. Lobby smell good with fragrance. Also have restaurant and convenience store.

Hotel is just right in front of Genting Theme park, and a short walk will be the Sky Avenue where there are tonnes of shopping and food definitely spoilt for choice. My only concern is there is no direct parking at the hotel and the morning breakfast need to walk to the neighbouring Genting Grand Hotel. The Quad room are not exactly spacious, the beds are enough but might be a problem if you do have big luggage. Will still recommend if you are going to Theme park mainly and looking for an affordable stay.

Le camere sono piccole ma pulite e, mentre le strutture sono di base, l'hotel offre una vista stupenda e una comodità. L'iscrizione può essere lenta durante i tempi di picco, ma il personale è di solito utile. Ideale per chi cerca di esplorare Genting senza spendere troppo per l'alloggio, è una scelta ideale per soggiorni brevi.

Room size is huge, most of the amenities are provided included toothbrush and towels. However, room service may not be as thorough as the floor is still dusty and probably because the whole property is still partially under renovation, the sound and dust may be a little disturbing. No room service / 24mart nearby for the hungry people. Breakfast is ok, but some items are cold already even though they are on the buffet serving area. It’s not walking distance from Genting but thankfully for the shuttle services (not free, it ranged from 6RM - 10RM depending on timing). But staff are friendly. So this is a good point.

The hotel itself was well located which was why we chose Awana in the first place. In terms of facilities and amenities it was acceptable. They give a little bag of cookie with a basic toiletries which was good. The only downside was the overall staff service was very slow and less attentive. We had to follow up and check numerous times before getting our request done.

Im travelling with family with 6months baby This is my first time staying here . Here my review :- Cons : Location : located 5-10 min from shop , the road heading no light at night. Swimming pool : the policy must wear the swimming suit properly even though jersey material shirt cannot wear Service check in : very slow , they take 10-15 min to service 1 cust Service check out : its very funny when we have to wait the room service check everything ok during check out time , i wait around 15min still no update from the staff , fyi the room service enter our room upon we leave the room, why took so long time to check ? Its really waste my time. Not only me, the customer checkout before me haven’t get done yet. Finally i decided to leave the hotel without any concern 😓 Pros : Room clean Breakfast : everything nice but not much choices Water pressure ok

Pros: The location of residence is strategic as they have a linked bridge to eateries (mamak, cafe, many Chinese shop), convenience store, mart (7-11, KK, 99 Speedmart, family mart), petrol station (Petron). Somehow, it can be very silent and dark at night when walking at the bridge. The cleanliness of room is fair but could improve more as the sofa/couch is dusty and torn (I even had insect bites when sitting) but they cover up with a large cloth. The kitchenette had everything from utensils (spoon, fork, knife, scissors). It's equipped with an induction stove, a hood, a microwave, a refrigerator, big sink, dish soap, and a sponge. There was a cloth, but I knew it was not clean for ages because I almost fainted due to the smell, I had to wash it a number of times before using or else you could bring your own kitchen towel. There is also washing machine that has drying option, detergent powder, broom, dustpan, mop and a small portable clothesline. There is heater available but sometimes it goes off I doubt they have timer for the heater. The room was nice, but blankets and pillows are not properly washed and cleaned, it's obvious. The hall had TV box. They also had strong Wi-Fi connection. The hall also had small but wide coffee table, round dining table and chairs.The service from front office(maplehome) was nice and pleasant, one of them attended us was new or he was a trainee, but he still attends us well. The residence has a big swimming pool, child's swimming pool, a small exercise area, a small children's playground, a room with only one table tennis/ping pong table and a gym. The gym is quite a disappointment because there was 4 treadmill and 2 is not in service. One is showing error and one more couldn't even turn on (I have switched on all the plugs). The other machine was okay but only one or two can be used. The weight machine and others were very rusty and had no maintenance and cleaning. The only thing you can use is the dumbbell or weight, but it is also rusty. The lights can be turned on, but the fan couldn't so there was no ventilation, and I couldn't be in for more than 20 minutes. The sauna was in the washroom of the G(ground) floor, and it was not very safe as it is quite isolated from the security if anything happens, and it was locked because you need to inform the security and give your room details for them to record the usage of sauna. Cons: The main minus point in this residence is their elevator/lift. There were only 4 lifts in the whole block/tower with 38 floors. One of the lifts is under maintenance or I believe they it shut down, (tactics used by all residence/hotel to save electricity). The other 3 lifts were occupied every time. But the only thing I can't take it was during the checkout (on Sunday). Checkout time is 11am??? The number of people checking out is a lot and the lift will not stop until it reaches the top (38th floor). For your info, the lift stops at each level going up and going down. For example, I was on the 10th floor, and I could not go down as it have to go up first and then it opens at each floor until the top (38th). When it was going down, it opens again at each floor. So, I was stucked in the lift with no ventilation for about 30 mins, and I waited for the elevator for 20 mins. So, it's about an hour. We also chatted among the guest in elevator and all of them face the same struggle. Everyone waited for almost an hour for the elevator and mind you if we take the staircase, it is only accessible until G floor meanwhile the lobby is at the L7 floor (lower 7, lower than G floor). So, there is no way but to take the elevator. Next, is the environment that is silent and not much movement especially during the night which gives off creepy vibes. Furthermore, I did find a tiny baby cockroach under the shoe rack but I'm afraid it came from outside at the washing machine area.

Genting View Resort (GVR). Nama yang jarang orang sebut bila menginap di Genting. Lokasi terletak di pinggir belakang Gohtong Jaya. Untuk menginap dengan keluarga bersaiz 2A & 3C, dengan harga ditawarkan 100++,kira OK. Saiz bilik yang dikira besa dengan 2 katil, selesa, tandas agak bersih, ada sofa,ada aircond & kipas. Parking mudah. Daftar masuk- pergi naik atas Genting- balik utk tidor, kira berbaloi dengan harga. Receiption pun bagus juga, mudah proses daftar masuk. Cons - lokasi agak ke dalam dari Gohtong Jaya & lastly,ada mesin self servis kopi,ada americano & expresso je. Syorkan- tambah pilihan - air milo for kids. Dan sediakan wang tunai 100 untuk deposit. & TV bersaiz 65 inci, mana2 hotel pun tak sediakan TV dgn saiz ini. Wifi ada cuma kurang stabil sedikit. Dan ada kesan anai2 pada dinding kayu. Yang lain OK. Best.
