Almwellness Hotel Pierer

This was our choice to relax and adjust to a different timezone before going for a week of skiing. I pretty much booked because if was keen on the outdoor pool and some wellness/spa. The hotel was located between Vienna and our ski chalet so ideal location - you have to drive up to the Teichalm though. There was hardly any snow when we arrived but otherwise you need snow chains for your car. You can drive up to the hotel and check in was very friendly: mostly in Austrian though so sometimes a bit hard to follow but we made it. We booked a suite as it had a separate room for our son - nice large area with hallway where we could keep our luggage (a lot as we had all our skis gear). Large bathroom with amenities and a separate toilet. We also had a large balcony with loungers and chairs: not the nicest view as it overlooked the mountains and the carpark but it was fine. There was a mini bar but no water kettle or tea making facilities - we did ask for a water kettle as I need coffee in the morning and arriving with jet lag means I am up early. It took 3 times of getting back to reception but then the kettle arrived. Hotel has an all inclusive concept which was not explained to us during check-in so we had to figure out along the way and in the restaurant. Turned out there is a buffet for your starter, you order a main and there is dessert. Drinks are still to be paid for. Buffet with starters was really full of choice and nice quality. Same concept for lunch and breakfast buffet was amazing with really good choices of herbal tea and good coffee They have a nice bar area with a log fire and nibbles. Wellness area is massive but not really my thing - too many sweaty bodies around. But the pool was fantastic and opens at 7am so I went for my early morning laps and was mostly alone. Steam coming from the pool while you watch the sunrise over the all, beautiful. There was also a large outdoor hot jacuzzi and both pool and jacuzzi were open till late so after our early dinner we went for some relaxing time and no one there anymore. All in all a really nice hotel, friendly staff, lovely walks around the all, super relaxing

Beautiful hotel and SPA. Excellent cuisine and a more than dedicated staff. From breakfast to dinner the layout and quality of the food was extraordinary. Excellent wine cellar and knowledgeable sommelier. The SPA and the related facilities were in top notch condition. We are pretty sure to return as soon as possible

Ein Traumhotel im Paradies: tolle Natur, mit vielen Tieren wie Kühen, Pferden oder Schafen und einem tollen See. Ideal zum wandern und entspannen. Das Personal ist toll geschult und extrem freundlich - so wie man es sich bei so einem Hotel vor Alles auch sauber, ein gewachsenes Haus, das immer wieder erweitert wurde und einen modernen Flair hat Die Halbpension ist dringend zu empfehlen, das Menü hervorragend und auch der Lunch am Mittag sehr üppig. Auch der Bereich Spa ist extrem ausgebaut und für ein Hotel überwältigend groß. Dazu kommt eine tolle Hundefreundlichkeit. 4 Dinge, die mir aufgefallen sind : Aufzüge: zu klein für das gewachsene Haus und so alt. Sind sehr langsam und es kommt gerade beim Essen in der Rushhour zu Wartezeiten. Hund: es ist klar, dass die im Spa nichts zu suchen haben. Dennoch wäre im Garten ein Bereich schön, wo man sich auch ohne Pool mit dem Hund und einer liege entspannen kann, dass er nicht im Zimmer während des Tages bleiben muss, wenn man nicht gerade wandert. Preise: sind sehr volatil je nach Anfrage, hier hilft es vorher die Preise im Auge zu behalten und zu einem günstigeren Zeitpunkt buchen. Alles über 400 € pro Zimmer. Die Nacht finde ich schon überzogen. Essen: toll angerichtet und für ein Hotel immer noch überdurchschnittlich, in Anbetracht des Preises muss man jedoch sagen, dass ab und zu Gar-Punkte verpasst wurden. Empfang: hilfe zum Gepäck wird nicht angeboten, vermutlich bekommt man es aber, wenn man aktiv danach fragt. Ist zu empfehlen, wenn man viel dabei hat, die Wege im Haus können durch die Anbau über die Jahre lang sein. Unter dem Strich: gemeckert auf hohem Niveau, aber hier liegt ja auch der Preis.

Sensationelles Hotel mit perfekter Wellnessanlage mitten im Almenland. Familiärer Flair spürbar, engagierte und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Entspannung pur. Tolles Essen von morgens bis abends, der Weinkeller (Weintresor) einzigartig. Kompliment!

Ein sehr familiär geführtes Haus mit tollem Ambiente. Großer Pluspunkt: die tolle Lage inmitten der Natur. Das Angebot ist reichhaltig und sehr empfehlenswert. Wellness, Wanderwege, Pools, Saunalandschaft - für jeden etwas dabei. Äußerst freundliche und zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter. Wir kommen sicher wieder!
