Hotel in zona Gelsenkirchen-Hassel Station, Gelsenkirchen

Wir waren für eine Nacht in diesem Hotel untergebracht. Ein Schild neben der Eingangstür weist dieses Haus als 4 Sterne-Hotel aus. Absolut lächerlich, vor allem, wenn man vergleicht, welchen Aufwand andere Hotels treiben, um ihren Gästen wirklichen 4 Sterne Komfort zu bieten. Zum Zimmer: relativ kleines, insgesamt ungemütliches Badezimmer. Die Toilette ist hinter der Türe versteckt, leider in einer kleinkindtauglichen Höhe. Wir Senioren hatten Schwierigkeiten, uns nach einer 'Sitzung' wieder in die Höhe zu schrauben. Die Betten waren eine glatte Zumutung. Schon als ich mich auf die Bettkante setzte, quietschte und knarrte die gesamte Konstruktion. Das Gleiche auf der Seite meiner Frau. Man wurde wach vom eigenen Umdrehen, man wurde wach, wenn der Partner sich umdrehte. Ich habe diesen Zustand an der Rezeption zur Kenntnis gebracht. Sollte Sie also auf Zimmer 402 auf diese immer noch quietschenden und knarrenden Betten treffen, wissen Sie, wie ernst Gästebeschwerden genommen werden. Weiter zum angeblichen 4-Sterne Niveau: Kühlschrank: dort, wo sich der Kühlschrank befinden sollte, war lediglich ein leerer Schrank. Kommentar der Rezeption: nicht jedes Zimmer hat einen Kühlschrank. Tee- und Kaffeezubereitung: Fehlanzeige. Frühstück: vorab ein Kompliment an die Servicekraft: sie musste den Service im Frühstücksrestaurant alleine stemmen. Es ist nicht ihr Verschulden, wenn gebrauchtes Geschirr nicht vom Tisch abgeräumt wird, wenn es etwas dauert, bis das Büffet wieder aufgefüllt wird. Sie konnte nicht mehr leisten, als ständig in Bewegung zu sein. Diese personelle Ausstattung hat ebenfalls nichts mit 4 Sternen zu tun! Die auf dem Büffet angebotenen Komponenten waren vielfältig und qualitativ gut. Ein Schluck Sekt wäre recht schön gewesen, aber bei dem niedrigen Aufpreis für das Frühstücksbuffet nicht zu erwarten. Hervorzuheben sind die leckeren Kuchen, die einem auf dem Buffet zur Verfügung standen. Das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis des Buffets war sehr gut. Ansonsten: drei Sterne mit Mängeln.

Il servizio è buono, la colazione era eccellente con molta scelta di cibo. La camera era pulita, la doccia era fredda. Vicino alla città, al ristorante, alla stazione degli autobus. Non senti il ​​traffico. Aria condizionata non disponibile. Wi-Fi eccellente.

Bella nuova hotel. Il personale (e il cane) era grande. Il riscaldamento nel nuovo edificio sembra essere un problema. Il colazione era grande, anche la stanza.

Had a great stay in Moxy Essen from 11/06/2023 – 14/06/2023. I was travelling around the Rhine Ruhr region with my friend (and we both have Marriott Gold elite status from staying in a Marriott for university). This hotel was in a great location right next to the HBF station in Essen and was clean and modern. The bar had a good vibe and we had free drinks on arrival. We used points for this stay, and the way that the points worked out meant that we had 2 different bookings over 3 nights, but this was not an issue and we managed to get the same room for the duration of our stay (we even got a bonus welcome drink for it)! I’m probably not going to do the hotel justice here, but it was a well laid out and stylish hotel with decent sized rooms. We had a twin room to share and the staff made extra effort so that we were on the quieter side of the building. We initially checked into the hotel at approximately 2pm, but decided to spend the afternoon in Wuppertal. When we arrived back on the first night. I had a shower, and there was no shampoo. No big deal, but I ended up going down to reception to ask for some. The man couldn’t find any shampoo, but about half an hour later, some appeared, I think he probably brought I from the shop as it wasn’t in the normal bright pink Moxy bottle, but it was really nice of him to make the effort. That day, the weather hit 32 degrees and whilst we were waiting for the shampoo, we tried to work out how the air conditioning worked. Between me and my friend that I was travelling with, we couldn’t work it out, so we asked the employee. However, between the 3 of us and Google we could not work it out. Anyway, I think we were the only people in the hotel that night as this was approximately midnight local time, and I think we went in every room in the corridor. To try and find one with working air con. All of them were empty! We eventually found one that wasn’t like a sauna and packed our stuff and moved. The employee was genuinely the nicest and most helpful employee I think I have ever seen in a hotel, very apologetic, but also very sociable. It was really nice to meet him as he was so happy to help. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but he had a ponytail I think and said he was Turkish. I think he will know who we are when he reads this! I saw him off duty in the bar the next night and thanked him. We even got 2 free breakfasts out of this!! The breakfast was good, though probably not worth the price we were told when we booked (I think it was about 15 euros but can’t remember as I have stayed in about 5 hotels in the past week and they have all rolled into one a bit). There was a few cooked items (Bacon & Scrambled Egg) and a few cold/ cereal items, but not loads. I probably wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast as all the Moxys allow a free coffee/ juice in the morning and a pastry, which is a nice touch. The hotel is just a few minutes from the Philharmonie U-Bahn station or just a 15 minute walk from the main station and hence very nicely located. The staff are very professional and gave me a good welcome. The room was very well-kept and for the price, a good size. Excellent WiFi coverage at good connectivity speeds. Overall, a very nice stay in a very nice hotel.

Quando ci siamo reclutati, un agente ci ha reclutati mentre gli altri due ci guardavano come se fossimo alieni. Uno di loro aveva un sorriso sul viso durante il check-in, volevo chiedere cosa pensava fosse così divertente con noi di andare in hotel, ma non volevo rovinare la serata. Sappiamo che siamo non europei, molto poco benvenuti e poco professionisti, e suggerisco di formare la diversità culturale. I letti erano disgustosi, le piccole strisce di capelli in tutto il foglio, il più disgustoso era la tintura di peli sulle foglie, e il letto profumava come un peliccio. Era previsto che non fumasse, ma qualcuno fumava in camera o i sistemi di isolamento/ventilazione avevano bisogno di più lavoro. Non volevo affrontare il personale di servizio frontale non professionale, così ho sofferto attraverso l'impurità e solo mettere 2 asciugamani sul tappeto solo per sentire di agio dormire, anche se eravamo solo lì per una notte...Grazie a Dio non ho prenotato per più tempo. L'unico positivo è stato il colazione, è stato sufficiente per un soggiorno di notte.
