La struttura è un pub con poche camere al piano di superiore ben isolate acusticamente. Siamo arrivate e l'accoglienza è stata molto calorosa e la stanza ci ha stupito, non è enorme ma è organizzatissima e molto pulita, oltre che molto di buon gusto. Abbiamo cenato al pub trovandoci bene (la cucina chiude presto ma eravamo state preavvertite) e anche la colazione inglese gustata il giorno dopo era ben preparata. La proprietaria poi è stata gentilissima, ci ha dato dei consigli per il giorno successivo e ci ha spiegato che la zona è perfetta per raggiungere tanti punti strategici dello yorkshire. Se dovessimo ripassare in zona sarà sicuramente un nostro punto d'appoggio anche perché il costo è veramente conveniente

We were in the Premier Inn up the road Sunday and decided to dine at the old swan inn . Lovely place and nice staff. However not impressed with the meals we chose . I had the steak and venison pie which turned out to have little filling whatsoever just a bit of gravy with tiny bits of meat . £15 for that with a thimble of powdered mash. See photo Wife even gave me an onion ring to help out She had the chicken which was nice but the 6 chips in the small dish tasted bad . Must have been some cheap frozen ones her meal was £13.50. Won’t be going back to this one .

Stayed over for my friends 60th. booked two rooms with two dogs. My friends room was so very large with a lovely sunset. Locals in the bar were very friendly and welcoming. Ate in the restaurant the service front of house lady Gem I think was lovely ? Had beef rib and the lamb was amazing. Beds very comfortable breakfast good. great find in Gargrave will definitely be back. 😊

Excellent Sunday lunch. Very attentive service from Julie and all the staff. Comfortable dining area and pleasant background music. Lovely pint of beer served by Mathew who is very knowledgeable about cask beers. All very reasonably priced. We'll done.

Beautiful food and Sunday late dinner. Booked online annual trip here , had a wonderful table with our own room . Kids menu excellent. Food atmosphere , cleanliness, ambiance amazing! Even attention to detail of pumpkins drawn on the windows. Kind caring staff lovely pub

We spent one night here whilst on a tour of the area and found it clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and nice meal in the evening. Not a lot to do in Gargrave but it is well placed for a walk along the river

Had an overnight stay what a friendly inviting place to stay we met lovely people from the area and our room was lovely clean tidy and had everything we would need all the staff were extremely friendly they had reserved us a table for a meal the kitchen team who provided the food was the nicest food we have been served could not fault anything and would highly recommend the beer garden had everything and so many tables for people and family to sit out had a great stay thank you all very much icing on the cake from a lovely trip out

We visited for an early evening meal on a Saturday night. Glad we booked ahead rather than arrive as we would have been disappointed. Busy and a good atmosphere. The staff were attentive and the food well cooked. I enjoyed the Hake and Scallops on a bed of Tagliatelle and my husband enjoyed the Venison Sausages. All reasonably priced. Would definitely call in again if in the area.

My wife and I visited here today for the first time in a while, and what a great move it turned out to be. Having ordered drinks at the bar, we settled in one of the very cosy side rooms, and browsed the menu. I went for the Hake & Scallop tagliatelle, and my wife went for the 3 for 2 starter type dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed my pasta dish and the hake was translucent (another scallop would have earned it a 10 !). My wife had local sausage in onion jam, crispy prawns and chicken wings, all of which were great. Two cappuccino's to finish, exactly as they should be - HOT and delicious. Why do so many establishments serve tepid coffees ? Service by the delightful and friendly lass from Lancashire - thank you Romy !! Looking forward to our next visit.
