Hotel Centrale

Quiet hotel, 10 minute walk from Lake Garda, comfy rooms and beds but no tea/coffee facilities in bedrooms. Very welcoming and helpful staff but limited access to bar and refreshment facilities during the day. Went as part of a large group so individual visitors may have different services. Access to outside space for refreshments. Close to bus and train stations. Recommend this hotel.

Hotel right on the lakeside, some of the staff a little surly. Our room was at the back of the hotel but we had the best night sleep and the whole of the water front was quiet at night. Air con in all rooms with a safe. Lots of little bars, cafes restraunts.

We had 6 nights here as part of a Rail Discoveries tour. I doubt whether we'll travel with Rail Discoveries again as the train journey was much slower than expected and there were other issues. However we would stay at the Centrale again. The location was excellent, just a few minutes from the bus station, shops and beautiful sea front. All areas of the hotel were clean, comfortable , spacious and well maintained. We really enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. All of the staff were so helpful and went over and above what we would have expected.

Looking for somewhere that offered the basics at the start of our holiday I was pleasantly surprised on our arrival. The hotel was set just off the main thoroughfare of Garda town the hotel offers good rooms, clean and everything you need. Comfortable beds and pillows ect. I would note the room was a little warm at night but this is not the fault of the hotel as there was recent decrees regarding the use of of conditioning, maybe a fan in the room would help. The room had a nice balcony overlooking the seating area. Decent WiFi. Plenty of towels which were large clean and soft. Breakfast was serves until 930 each day with stock constantly refilled. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Stayed here for a week in early September with Rail Discoveries. Room was huge with king sized bed. Staff were all super, Allessandro being a star. Food was good, facilities adequate, very best town centre. All in all, a very pleasaostay.

A small hotel with 40 rooms set back from the lake On a quite street, we spent 7 nights here and have just returned home. The rooms have effective air conditioning (a real bonus with temperatures up to 39c during our trip) and well equipped bathrooms with great showers. The beds are comfortable and we really couldn’t fault the efforts of the housekeeping staff who clean and replace towels daily. Reception and restaurant staff are friendly and helpful and always ready with a smile. The hotel only provides a breakfast service and that is high quality with an extensive range breads, cheeses, meats, fried and boiled eggs along with nuts, cereal and fruit - something for everyone really - (this may be dependant on the season) that said there is a great restaurant across the road and many good places to eat elsewhere in Garda so no hardship. The location is quiet, 5 minutes from the lake, ferry terminal and shopping area. There is a pleasant bar area off the reception area an ideal spot for l beer whilst watching the world go by. Though there is no pool You can use the pool at the sister hotel an easy 5 minute walk away. All told the Centrale is a good choice for a relaxed but comfortable base to visit Lake Garda and recommended
